2N OS version 2.46.1 for 2N Intercoms includes the following changes
Precautions to be taken during update to FW version 2.46.x
-
Configuration backups from version 2.45.x and higher are incompatible with 2.44.x and lower.
- It is necessary to update to version 2.44.0 before updating to a newer firmware version for 2N IP Force and 2N IP Vario with an RFID reader. Direct update from lower versions to version 2.45.0 and higher may cause the RFID reader to stop working.

2N OS version 2.46.0 for 2N Intercoms includes the following changes
Precautions to be taken during update to FW version 2.46.x
- Configuration backups from version 2.45.x and higher are incompatible with 2.44.x and lower.

Changes Concerning Integration With Other Systems
-
Certain VAPIX API calls can no longer be done without authentication.
- JSON parameters parsing in /api/dir/create is now order-independent.
- The Event Log no longer includes repeated `SwitchStateChanged` events (and `OutputChanged` events, if configured) when a switch is reactivated while already activated. This prevents unnecessary actions and redundant log entries for a single switch activation session.
New Functions and Improvements
- Enhanced integration between FlexiLayout/Custom GUI mode and Automation with two new blocks: `FlexiTrigger` and `FlexiPage`. These blocks make it possible to receive commands directly from the display and to display specific pages, respectively.
- To utilize the `FlexiTrigger` event in Automation, configure a button with the action `Automation Trigger` in the FlexiLayout builder. Ensure the names of both the `Automation Trigger` action and `FlexiTrigger` event match.
- The `Automation Trigger` action supports up to 5 additional parameters/values, allowing users to leverage a single `FlexiTrigger` block in Automation to perform various actions based on the received parameter(s).
- A new field, `Notes`, has been added to User Detail on ARTPEC-based devices, including Style, Verso 2.0, One, and Access Unit QR. This field can store metadata for third-party integration systems or for use with the Automation `Comparator` block.
- The `Comparator` condition enables comparison of user data contained in the `Notes` field (among other parameters) against defined rules. This provides enhanced integration and functionality, extending beyond standard user authentication capabilities.
- Other Automation-related changes:
- Automation blocks are now ordered alphabetically for easier navigation.
- A quick search/filter option is now available in the top left corner to further enhance navigation.
- The Event Log no longer includes repeated `SwitchStateChanged` events (and `OutputChanged` events, if configured) when a switch is reactivated while already activated. This prevents unnecessary actions and redundant log entries for a single switch activation session.
- SIPS and SRTP are now enforced for Local Calls after a factory reset. Ensure that all devices in your network operate in the same mode, configured via Calling > Local Calls > Configuration > Network Identification > Local Calls Compatibility Mode.
- For networks with legacy devices, such as 2N Indoor Touch, the Local Calls Compatibility Mode must always be enabled.
- My2N video quality has been significantly enhanced for a dramatically improved user experience.
- SIP calls from ARTPEC-based devices now support the H.265 video codec, providing improved video quality and efficiency.
- Zipstream is now enabled by default on ARTPEC-based devices for all streams, optimizing bandwidth and storage usage.
- The display of 2N IP Style can now be completely turned off during idle mode, reducing energy consumption. To enable this feature, set the Hardware > Backlight > In Power Saving Mode Lower To parameter to `Backlight Off`.
- Invalid LPR records from a single session can now be temporarily withheld from the event log for a specified duration, pending the arrival of a valid record from the same session. This setting helps maintain a cleaner and more relevant event log.
- The number of available SIP accounts has been increased from 2 + Local Calls to 4 + Local Calls, enhancing the integration capabilities of 2N OS devices.
- A Noise Cancelling feature has been added to ARTPEC-based devices. Enable this feature as needed via Hardware > Audio > Noise Cancelling Enabled
- Added support for SNMPv3, enhancing network management security with authentication and encryption.
