Certification Confirmed! We Have the Information Security Management Under Control

For 30 years we’ve been doing everything we can to be your trusted partner and to make our products as secure and reliable as possible. Both in terms of design and information security. This is our number one priority in a time of ever-increasing risks and mandatory regulations. We have therefore decided to support this commitment with ISO 27001 certification.

ISO 27001, icons, handA lot of people think that information and cyber security is just about finding the right technical solution. That all you have to do is develop a product that communicates over secure protocols and the problem’s solved. That’s not actually the case,” says Tomáš Vystavěl, Chief Product Officer at 2N. “True information security requires a much more comprehensive approach and the involvement of virtually every team at the company. As a commitment to continuously improve in this area under the supervision of experts, we have decided to undergo the demanding certification process for our information security management system (ISMS) according to the ISO/IEC 27001 standard. And we succeeded!

The implementation of ISO 27001 helps us at 2N to manage sensitive information systematically and securely. It is also the ideal response to our customers’ needs and legislative requirements such as the GDPR, and it also represents a means of defence against potential security threats. These come in various forms, ranging from cybercrime, data breaches and the misuse or theft of data, all the way through to virus attacks.

A company-wide mindset and long-term investment

With ISO 27001 certification, we’ve introduced the structure and best practices necessary to assess risks and review how we do a lot of things at 2N. We optimize our processes across the company, putting strict criteria into place for access to premises and we regularly undergo independent security audits. Of course, people are also part of these reviewed processes. Social engineering is seen as one of the biggest vulnerabilities of the whole system today, so we are investing in regular training for our staff on issues relating to the GDPR, cyber and information security.

What does this mean for the customer?

As a company, we want to be a reliable supplier for you in the long term. And this prestigious ISO certification only confirms it. We invest time, money, and human resources to continuously improve our processes and products in the field of information security. We supply the market with products that are as resilient as possible to known cyber threats and transparently communicate potential vulnerabilities. We act in full compliance with the GDPR and all sensitive data and information is kept under maximum security. The fact that we design, manufacture and test all our products in the EU according to the very highest standards also plays a major role for our customers. Cybersecurity is a mindset!
