New Firmware For The 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 Makes Integration Incredibly Simple

And it has three other great features. We’ll explain everything about the latest firmware version 4.7 in just two minutes. Read on and save yourself a lot of time.

Parallel Wi-Fi and ethernet connection 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 black

Have you ever encountered an installation where you have two networks? One to make calls between the intercom and answering unit (typically over an ethernet cable) and a second network to integrate the answering unit with home automation (typically over Wi-Fi). Integration with home automation systems like this is ensured by an Android app installed in the answering unit. The Wi-Fi version of the 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 (order numbers 91378376/01670-001, 91378376WH/01671-001) now allows parallel connection. So even in installations like this, one indoor panel is all you need to control door communication and home automation.

Access control solutions for lifts 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 white

We’re seeing requests to restrict access to individual floors of a building more and more often. This is due to the fact that many of our customers realise that this function significantly increases the efficiency of the whole access control system. Firmware 4.7 for the 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 allows you to change the lock icon to a lift icon. We designed this to make it clear to residents at a glance whether they are unlocking the door or granting lift access to their floor. This completes full support of the access control solution for lifts for the entire portfolio of answering units.

Let the receptionist remain seated 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 and door

All you need is a doorbell button at the door to the office and a 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 unit at the reception desk. The visitor rings the doorbell button at the door, the answering unit rings and the receptionist can now open the door directly on the 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 unit. You don’t need an intercom at the door. A doorbell button and a lock switched by the answering unit directly will do the trick nicely.

Extension of Do not Disturb mode 2N® Indoor Touch 2.0 Do not Disturb mode

The existing option only mutes the ringtone of an incoming call. The answering unit can now also reject the call. The IP intercom can then redirect the call, for example, to reception, another answering unit or to the resident’s smartphone.

What else does the new firmware offer?

Naturally, it supports the 2N® IP Style intercom, including HD video reception and much more. Read the full release notes in the Firmware section.
