Fully Automated Access for 328 Apartments in Linz

A unified ecosystem connecting intercoms, mobile access, and elevators

City street with a tall modern glass building, older apartments, and a blurred tram passing by.

In Linz, Austrian developer Roombuus set out to create a modern rental project built around efficiency, comfort, and smart technology, and selected 2N to deliver a fully unified access solution across all 328 apartments and shared spaces.

The project combines 2N IP Verso 2.0 intercoms, 2N Access Unit 2.0 readers, and the My2N app to connect entrances, common areas, mobile credentials, visitor management, and Apple Watch access into one seamless ecosystem.

A standout feature is the two-way integration with KONE elevators. Residents can authenticate via smartphone, RFID, or Apple Watch, automatically call the nearest elevator, and pre-select their floor. When granting visitor access through the My2N app, they also confirm the elevator call — ensuring secure, controlled movement throughout the building.

The result is a scalable, centrally managed system that enhances residents' comfort and simplifies operations for property managers.
