Introducing the 2N Clip 2wire-IP

2N Clip 2wire-IP is compact indoor station with 4″ display. It’s the same product as the well-known ethernet version of the 2N Clip. So, you can count on the level of reliability you expect from 2N OS-based products and extraordinary longevity. The only significant difference is that you can connect it to existing legacy cabling. This notably reduces cabling and labour costs in retrofit projects.

Don’t replace, upgrade

Enough of the routine replacement. Upgrade the whole door entry and access control system in the building. Combine 2N Clip 2wire-IP with 2N IP intercoms, access readers, and high end indoor stations to create a complete hybrid solution for modern living. Remote management

With the solution described above, both admins and residents get one more huge advantage. Admins can handle 9 out of 10 customers’ requests remotely – changing the calling rules, assigning and revoking access rights, and adding, changing, and removing users. This saves the property manager time and gas money. And what is it in for the residents? They can get instant replies to their requests, and because it’s done remotely, they don’t have to stay home when the admin/property manager comes to do the update.

The device features just three clearly visible buttons designed for intuitive use. These can be further enhanced with tactile stickers, making operation even easier—especially for users who may have visual or motor impairments. This straightforward design is user-friendly for everyone, but it’s particularly appreciated by seniors. Additionally, for projects where accessibility is a key priority, the 2N Clip 2wire-IP is available in a version with a built-in induction loop, providing essential support for users with hearing impairments.

Switch it on

To install the 2N Clip 2wire-IP indoor station, you’ll need one 2N Clip 2wire-IP Switch per floor or every six units. If needed, Switches can be daisy-chained to cover more floors and apartments. Each switch needs a dedicated external power supply, and we recommend using our external power supply.

There are various ports on the switch. What can they be used for?

• 6 ports for connection with 2N Clip 2wire-IP indoor stations

• 2 ports for daisy chain the switches

• 2 ethernet ports (one of them PoE) can be used to connect 2N IP devices (intercoms, readers, answering units), IP switches/routers, or they can also be used to daisy chain the 2N Clip 2wire-IP Switches

Quick installation

You usually have to remove the legacy indoor station. The installation of the 2N Clip 2wire-IP indoor stations is very fast. You just drill in two screws, connect the legacy 2wire cables, and clip the 2N Clip to the wall.

The switch is typically installed on a DIN rail in risers or a circuit breaker box in the corridor.

Always make sure that the legacy cabling is in good condition.
