New accessories expand the 2N portfolio

We are extending the 2N portfolio with three new AXIS accessories that broaden integration options and give installers and system integrators more flexibility when designing systems that combine 2N intercoms, access control devices, and third-party technologies.

AXIS T8120 Midspan 15 W 1-port

The AXIS T8120 is a single-port PoE injector that provides both power and data over one Ethernet cable. It delivers up to 15.4 W and is IEEE 802.3af compliant, making it suitable for PoE-enabled 2N devices and other standard PoE equipment.

This injector is suitable for installations where the existing network switch does not support PoE and replacing the switch would be costly or impractical. Instead of upgrading the entire network infrastructure, installers can use a PoE injector to power selected devices such as 2N IP intercoms, access control readers, or answering units.

AXIS A9210 Network I/O Relay Module

AXIS A9210 is a network I/O and relay module designed to extend system functionality in IP-based security and access control systems. It is the successor to the previously used AXIS A9188 (still available for purchase) and, within the 2N portfolio, is primarily used as part of lift access control solution, where the relay function is dedicated to lift control and determines which floors a user can select.

The unit provides 10 I/O ports (including configurable and supervised inputs) and one form C relay, allowing integration of signals from intercoms, cameras, alarm devices, and environmental sensors. Thanks to multi-drop technology, it also forms the base for scalable I/O expansion.

AXIS A9910 I/O Relay Expansion Module

AXIS A9910 is an expansion module for the AXIS A9210, designed to increase the number of available inputs, outputs, and relays. Each module adds 8 I/O ports with supervised inputs, 4 form C relays, and Modbus sensor ports for environmental sensors.

Up to 16 A9910 modules can be connected to one A9210, enabling large-scale configurations with up to 128 I/Os and 64 relays over a single network connection with PoE. These expansion modules are typically used in projects where multiple signals from security or building systems must be integrated into a unified access control logic.

Together, these accessories expand design possibilities for installers, making it easier to adapt 2N-based solutions to existing infrastructure and more complex integration requirements. At the same time, they strengthen the advantage of working with 2N and its distribution network – providing a one-stop shop, where intercoms, access control devices, and related integration accessories are available from a single manufacturer and a single distributor.
