Device Control

2N IP Force is an intercom allowing you to:

  • call other devices

    • use speed dial buttons

    • dial phone number

  • receive and reject incoming calls

  • activate switch (e.g. door opening, lift control, etc.)

    The device works as an authorization intermediary, which authenticates the user access rights and, if the user access is valid, activates the switch. The door lock, lifts etc. can be controlled by the switch.

    The device control depends on the product version:

    • using RFID cards and chips – by tapping a card/chip on the device,

    • using NFC,

    • by entering a numeric access code via a keypad application

Speed Dial Buttons

Press the speed dial button on the main unit to make a quick call to the assigned user in the phone book.

Call setup is signaled by a long intermittent tone or otherwise as configured in the PBX connected.

By re-pushing the same button while making or setting up a call, you can hang up or hang up plus make a call to another phone number of the called party. Or, a repeated press of the same button can have no function, refer to Intercom Configuration > Calling > General Settings in the Configuration Manual.

With keypad equipped models, a call can be hung up by pressing the A hash symbol in a black rectangle, # icon for 2N IP Force button. The hang-up function must be enabled in the device configuration.

Calling to Phone Book Position

The 2N IP Force phone book can contain up to 1 999 programmed positions. Depending on the count of the speed dial buttons actually installed, you can call a given number of the phone book positions. The other positions can be dialed using the numeric keypad if Speed Dial Using Numbers is enabled.

  1. Enter the position number using your numeric keypad (05, 15, 200 e.g. – two digits at least and four digits at most) and press A Six Pronged star in a black rectangle, * Icon for 2N IP Force for confirmation.

  2. With keypad equipped models, a call can be hung up by pressing the A hash symbol in a black rectangle, # icon for 2N IP Force button. The hang-up function must be enabled in the device configuration.

Calling to User-Defined Phone Number

If the Phone mode is enabled in the device web configuration, you can use the numeric keypad to call a user-defined phone number.

  1. Press the A Six Pronged star in a black rectangle, * Icon for 2N IP Force button.

  2. You will hear a continuous tone from the speaker.

  3. Enter the telephone number using the numerical keypad and repress A Six Pronged star in a black rectangle, * Icon for 2N IP Force for confirmation.

  4. With keypad equipped models, a call can be hung up by pressing the A hash symbol in a black rectangle, # icon for 2N IP Force button. The hang-up function must be enabled in the device configuration.

Incoming Call Answering/Rejecting

If the Automatic incoming call answering function is turned off, an incoming call is signaled by a loud ringing tone. Press A Six Pronged star in a black rectangle, * Icon for 2N IP Force to accept the call and A hash symbol in a black rectangle, # icon for 2N IP Force to reject the call.

Door Opening (Switch Activation) by Code

2N IP Force is equipped with a door unlocking switch. Enter the valid code using the numeric keypad to activate this switch.

  1. Enter the switch activating numeric code using the numeric keypad and press the A Six Pronged star in a black rectangle, * Icon for 2N IP Force button for confirmation.

  2. A valid code is notified by a continuous switch activation tone or a predefined unlocking user sound. An invalid code entry or interruption of the entry for a period longer than as set in the device web configuration interface, is announced by an audible three_dissonances icon or a user-defined sound.
