How does it work?
- Install a 2N device at the garage or the parking lot entry and connect it to the garage door or barrier
- Supported devices: 2N IP intercoms and access control readers that support Bluetooth credentials. If you need to provide audio/video communication, choose an IP intercom.
- The user needs to install the 2N® Mobile Key app on their mobile phone and pair it with the reader.
- Assign a Bluetooth credential to the user via 2N OS or 2N® Access Commander
How does the user get in?
When they approach the barrier, they simply open the app and tap the button that appears. Or, they can use the widget on their home screen. The best and most convenient part of mobile access is that you can use it across the entire building to enter the main door, back door, as well as all common spaces!

Licence Plate Recognition
Take convenience to another level by fully automating vehicle access control. Use car licence plates as credentials for both residential and commercial use cases by combining an IP intercom or access control reader with the right camera!
How does it work?
- Install a 2N IP intercom or access control reader device at the garage or the parking lot entry and connect it to the garage door or barrier
- Install an IP camera capable of reading licence plates with licence plate recognition software installed on the camera
- Set up the connection between the camera and the 2N Intercom/access reader
- Assign a licence plate number as a credential to the user via 2N OS or 2N® Access Commander
How does the user get in?
The barrier will automatically open for cars with authorised licence plates

Dual authentication with LPR
Need extra secure vehicle access control? You can significantly increase the security of LPR authentication and make it secure enough for projects where standard LPR is just not enough. Our authentication mode ‘LPR Multifactor’ lets you combine licence plate reading with another access technology: we recommend Bluetooth for the most seamless user experience, so that’s the combination we describe below.
How does it work?
- Much the same as our usual LPR solution described above, you connect an IP camera capable of reading licence plates to an IP intercom or access control reader at the barrier
- If you want to use Bluetooth, the intercom/access reader needs to support Bluetooth credentials
- As the user approaches the barrier/garage, the camera will read the licence plate and the system will also send a WaveKey authentication to the owner of the licence plate (who should be the user trying to get in!)
- Assign licence plate and Bluetooth credentials via 2N OS or 2N® Access Commander. The user needs to install the 2N® Mobile Key app on their mobile phone and pair it with the reader
How does the user get in?
The barrier/garage door will only open for users with a valid licence plate and the correct corresponding authorised mobile credential. The best part is, that the user doesn’t need to physically interact with any device including their mobile phone.

What other access control methods is the solution compatible with?
As mentioned above you can combine licence plate recognition not just with Bluetooth. You can combine it with PIN, RFID or even combine it with more than two methods (for example LPR+RFID+PIN).
