Wireless electronic door locks are just one part of the complete 2N street-to-suite access solution!
Secure other doors with high-quality 2N IP intercoms and smart 2N Access Unit readers. Then, manage everything centrally using 2N Access Commander.
2N Fortis wireless electronic door locks are designed for a battery life of 2–5 years and include multiple low-battery alerts (LED colour, beep, and delayed opening). Battery status for all locks will also be visible in the 2N Access Commander software from Q1/2026.
If the battery is completely depleted, the lock can be powered externally using a low-power adapter (112047203).
Note: The adapter provides power only – it does not unlock the door. To open the lock, a valid credential must still be presented.
No. Our electronic locks support an offline mode, allowing for secure and reliable operation even without an internet connection.
2N Fortis locks use advanced encryption (AES-128) and secure authentication methods. Regular firmware updates and security patches help us maintain strong protection against emerging threats.
The minimum validity period is 1 day. Validity is always configured in whole days.
Yes. An IP66-rated version of the 2N Fortis electronic knob will be available starting September 2025. The 2N Fortis Handle, however, is for indoor use only and does not have an IP rating.
Offline locks are not connected to any gateway or central server. Instead, they verify presented credentials using permissions stored directly on the user's RFID card. These permissions must be uploaded to the card via an online reader. In the 2N ecosystem, this is typically done using a 2N intercom with a built-in reader located at the building’s main entrance.
