This collaboration bridges 2N’s IP-based access control with Can’nX’s advanced KNX automation, unlocking seamless, intelligent communication between two worlds.

One Gateway, Endless Possibilities

Using the Kloud’nX platform, 2N IP intercoms and access units become fully integrated parts of the KNX ecosystem. This connection means 2N devices can be used as both sensors and actuators within an automation network—without juggling separate systems.

A simple example: when someone taps an authorized access card on a 2N reader, the door can unlock and the hallway lights switch on via KNX—all triggered automatically through one event.

Create Intelligent, Unified Scenarios

Integration enables powerful event-based automation. Actions such as Code Entered, Card Read, or Motion Detected on 2N devices can trigger specific KNX commands, including adjustments for lighting, heating, and environmental settings.

It also works the other way around. The Control Centre buttons on the 2N Indoor View can activate KNX scenes directly, giving residents or office users an effortless way to control their environment.

Two-Way Control for Greater Security

Beyond convenience, the integration enhances building security and awareness. KNX users can send commands to 2N devices—such as unlocking or holding doors open—straight from their automation interface or mobile app.

Meanwhile, key 2N status updates like Tamper Switch Activated or Unauthorized Door Open are fed back into the KNX system, automatically triggering security responses such as alarms or voice announcements.

Unified Monitoring & Remote Access

The Can’nX cloud interface adds another layer of flexibility. Import your ETS configuration, choose which group addresses to monitor, and instantly generate performance graphs. You can also set up push or email alerts for datagram or bus issues, and perform remote diagnostics—all with an easy-to-use, scalable licensing model.
