Another cybersecurity step forward: 2N is now a CNA!
2N has achieved another cybersecurity milestone – the CVE® Program has officially authorized us as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA). What does that mean?
This achievement allows 2N to join the ranks of major global technology leaders across diverse industries who are trusted to publish CVE Records. At the same time, it makes us the first company in the edge-based IP access control and intercom sector to gain CNA status – a significant step that strengthens both our internal processes and the trust of our customers and partners.
What this means for 2N and our customers
As a CNA, 2N is now authorized to identify, assign, and publish CVE Records for verified vulnerabilities discovered in its own products. This means faster and more consistent communication about security issues, ensuring that our customers always receive accurate, timely, and standardized information. For the past year, we’ve had the privilege of publishing our verified vulnerabilities through the CNA account of our parent company, Axis Communications. We’re truly grateful for their support and cooperation, which enabled us to share seven verified CVEs even before gaining our own CNA status. Now, with our new independent authorization, we can manage the entire process directly – from discovery to publication – through our own Security Advisories portal, further strengthening transparency and responsiveness.
This achievement reflects 2N’s proactive approach to cybersecurity and our ongoing collaboration with researchers, agencies, and the broader security community. We’re proud to contribute to a safer digital environment for everyone using IP communication and access control solutions.

About the CVE Program
The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE®) Program is an international initiative that identifies and catalogs publicly disclosed cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Each vulnerability entry, known as a CVE Record, is created and published by a CNA – a global network of trusted organizations. These standardized descriptions help security professionals, software vendors, and customers coordinate their responses more efficiently.Stay informed about security updates
