  1. General Description

    The integration between 2N IP intercoms and Code Blue enables SIP-based intercom devices to place calls beyond the local IP network and reach external phone numbers on the public telephone network. Using the Blue Alert® Interconnect cloud service, 2N intercoms can securely register as SIP endpoints and route calls to landlines, mobile phones, dispatch centres, or emergency services without requiring an on-site PBX or additional telephony infrastructure.

    Through the cloud-managed interconnect service, 2N intercoms gain a dedicated phone number and flexible call routing options, allowing calls to be forwarded to multiple destinations based on predefined rules. This enables scenarios such as routing calls to a security desk during office hours, forwarding to mobile staff after hours, or escalating calls to emergency responders when needed, ensuring reliable communication in both everyday and critical situations.
