More security, better connectivity with 2N Access Commander 3.3

2N Access Commander 3.3 is now live, introducing features that enhance security and improve connectivity. Here’s a quick look at what’s new in this release.

Mais segurança e melhor conectividade com o 2N Access Commander 3.3

Better support for remote and large networks

In a small network devices are found by a device discovery protocol and then added to the 2N Access Commander based on the discovered IP address. Should the device address ever change, devices are ‘re-found’ by this same protocol – which can be a problem for devices on remote networks (e.g. VPNs) where our discovery protocol cannot reach them.

To deal with this, we’ve added a new option in network settings: ‘Detected via callback’.

Checking this option and entering the static address of the 2N Access Commander tells a device to ‘call back’ to the 2N Access Commander in the event of an IP address change, ensuring seamless reconnection in case of IP address changes.

Improved SIP account support

In line with the launch of 2N OS 2.46, 2N Access Commander now supports two additional SIP accounts and a dedicated account for Microsoft Teams. Users can easily route calls using simple syntax adjustments, offering greater flexibility for integrated communication platforms.

Advanced device security

Security is paramount, and 2N Access Commander 3.3 takes it further with Certificate Fingerprint Validation. This feature ensures that only authorized 2N devices can connect, preventing impersonation and reinforcing protection against ‘man-in-the-middle’ attacks.
