AXIS Camera Station – enhanced features meet intuitive control

Since 2N OS 2.30, our IP intercoms have been compatible with AXIS Camera Station (ACS) – intuitive video management software designed for small to medium installations. This long-standing integration combines AXIS’s proven surveillance platform with 2N’s advanced intercoms, enabling operators to manage both security and communication directly within a single interface. With ACS, security staff can:

• Stream, watch, and record live video and audio from 2N IP intercoms
  
• Receive and initiate intercom calls
  
• Get instant pop-up notifications for calls and alarms
  
• Trigger intercom calls or recordings automatically based on events
  
• Control doors remotely with a single click
  
• Communicate with visitors via bi-directional audio

And now, with 2N OS 2.49, we’ve made the integration even smoother and more intuitive:

• Effortless onboarding – ACS automatically discovers 2N devices on the network, allowing one-click addition for fast setup (this discovery is now enabled by default in all 2N intercoms and readers)
• Flexible login options – in addition to the “admin” account, administrators can now use the “root” account – fully aligned with AXIS device standards
• Expanded device management – monitor status, reboot, reset to factory settings, or synchronize time with the ACS NTP server – all directly from the ACS interface

AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry – streamlined door control

Our integration with AXIS doesn’t stop at surveillance – it also covers access control. With AXIS Camera Station Secure Entry, software for managing door controllers, readers, and intercoms, administrators can connect 2N IP Intercoms and 2N Access Unit 2.0 directly to AXIS Door Controllers (A1210 and A1601) via OSDP interface.

This seamless connection ensures secure communication and proper reader signalling whenever access is granted or denied, creating a unified, professional-grade access control solution that combines the strengths of 2N intercoms with AXIS controllers.

Note: A corresponding 2N OSDP module is required, along with one Device License for the AXIS Door Controller.

AXIS Device Manager – simplified setup and maintenance

Since 2N OS 2.30, our IP intercoms have been compatible also with AXIS Device Manager, allowing centralized management of large installations. With 2N OS 2.49, the integration now includes automatic discovery of 2N devices for one-click onboarding, as well as centralized configuration of key parameters such as IP settings, date, time, and NTP server. Administrators can also generate configuration files and collect network traces to streamline setup and troubleshooting across sites.

AXIS IP Utility – effortless discovery of 2N devices

To make deployments with both 2N and AXIS devices as seamless as possible, AXIS IP Utility will automatically discover 2N devices on the network starting with firmware 2N OS 2.50. This tool makes initial configuration fast, secure, and intuitive: administrators can assign network parameters such as IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway, or simply configure devices to obtain an IP address via DHCP.

AXIS IP cameras – extending the view beyond the intercom

Our integration with AXIS solutions goes beyond software. Specific AXIS IP cameras can be connected as external cameras to 2N IP intercoms, giving operators an additional perspective. During an active call, they can seamlessly switch from the intercom’s built-in camera to the AXIS camera’s stream – providing a second viewing angle of the same area. This makes entrance monitoring more reliable and improves overall situational awareness.

AXIS cameras can also be linked with the 2N Indoor View unit, allowing residents to see from their apartment what’s happening in areas without an intercom installed – such as hallways, driveways, or the space behind the house.
