Not every project needs a powerful camera, but every project needs compliance

The audio-only 2N IP Verso 2.0 is fully compliant with the updated Radio Equipment Directive 2014/53/EU, which becomes mandatory across the EU in August 2025. RED aims to ensure that all radio-based devices sold in the EU meet stringent criteria for safety, electromagnetic compatibility, spectrum efficiency, and enhanced cybersecurity.

This legislative change affected the radio modules of the first-generation 2N IP Verso.

All main units of the first-generation 2N IP Verso, when used in combination with radio modules (i.e. RFID, Bluetooth for mobile access, or Induction loop), no longer meet RED requirements. As a result, their use within the EU is restricted.

However, it’s essential to clarify that the sale of the 2N IP Verso (first generation) will not be discontinued - EU customers can still purchase and use it in conjunction with other modules, such as Keypad, Touch display, or buttons.

The addition of an audio-only variant of the 2N IP Verso 2.0 enables us to offer a suitable, long-term option for compliance to those who do not require a camera.

Also allows you to meet the European Accessibility Act

Like the first-generation and the camera variant of the 2N IP Verso 2.0, the audio-only 2N IP Verso 2.0 also features clear audio signaling and LED pictograms to help guide all users.

And, with the option to add an induction loop accessory, it meets key criteria of the European Accessibility Act (EAA)—making it a responsible choice for public buildings.

Tactile stickers will be issued with the device to ensure the main calling button is accessible for the blind and visually impaired.
