2N Indoor View - How to set up calling via My2N

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. There are two modes of adding 2N Indoor View unit to the My2N portal:  Local - allows you to use 2N Indoor View in your local network. The reason for adding the device to My2N as local is to facilitate the configuration of the device so that it is not necessary to deactivate the automatic configuration of the intercom and simply add 2N Indoor View as a contact under the intercom button directly in My2N.In this mode, 2N Indoor View has to be located in the same LAN as the intercom.  Cloud – this mode allows, for example, to make calls from 2N Indoor View to the 2N Mobile Video application and vice versa. 2N Indoor View does not have to be in the same network.  1. Adding device to My2N  You can add 2N Indoor View by clicking on the button ADD DEVICE, and then choosing "2N Device" (see picture below).     A new window will appear asking you to enter the serial number and My2N Security Code to add the device.   Security code    My2N Security Code on the card that comes with the device.Another way to get the security code is to go to the web interface: System > Auto Provisioning > My2N.Please note that the security code is listed in firmware version 2.26 and higher (if you do not see it here, please upgrade the device: System > Auto Provisioning).             After successfully adding the device, you can see it in the My2N portal in the Settings section – see the picture below:  In the case of cloud mode, you will see "Online" instead of "Device is local".      2. Registration to My2N (possible in cloud mode)  In the DEVICE DETAIL you need to switch to the cloud mode. Then in the Mobile Video tab, you need to activate the service. Upon activating the device will automatically try to register to the SIP Proxy. If successful, you will see the status Registered in the Devices section.   3. Call settings  On the 2N Indoor View side, we will create a contact within the My2N portal for calls to the 2N IP Intercom if it is in automatic mode.Directly in the detail of the given 2N Indoor View in the CALL SETTINGS section under the appropriate button, where we select the called device.         If you want to call the 2N IP Intercom, the Answering Mode of the incoming calls have to be set to Automatic or Manual Pickup for SIP 2:      If you have selected "manual" Configuration mode for 2N Indoor View, you have to set the contact directly in the 2N Indoor View's interfaceby creating a user in the Directory - see the pictures here:  (Phone number will be My2N Device ID - followed by "/ 2" if the unit is registered to My2N correctly via the SIP 2 account.)    On the 2N IP Intercom's side, we will create a contact for calling the 2N Indoor View if it is in automatic mode.Namely in the detail of the intercom under the appropriate button within the My2N portal, where we select the called device. Access logs of 2N Mobile Key

You can see access logs within your 2N Mobile Key application. Feature is available for both Android / iOS platforms. You can check the access logs in Settings - Access logs.  You can clear all logs and you can also remove individual log entries by swipe.   You can see the following info in the access logs:   Device name  Operation mode (Touch / tap)  Unlocking status (opened, failed - if failed, then why it is showed why)  Multiple authentication info      You can delete or mark access log as unintended / intended opening while you swipe its entry to half of the screen from right to left      Access Logs can be also exported and are part of report form.

Apartment admin - Guest access

Apartments section in the app As Apartment Admins are only present in residential sites, the Guest feature is strictly available with Residential sites.  The Apartments section is accessible only to Apartment Admins. Once a user is assigned to an apartment and given admin privileges, they will be able to see this section upon logging into the app with email and Password option.  Within this section, the user can view a list of all apartments they manage. If they are assigned to only one apartment, the detailed view of that apartment will be displayed immediately.                                       Create a visitor Apartment Admins can create visitor access for the apartments they manage. Visitors can enter the building using credentials generated during the creation process, either as a PIN code or a QR code. If QR codes are not generated, it means the site or building is not configured to support them.   Creating a Visitor – Step by Step  Click the "Create new visitor" button (1)  Enter the visitor's name (2) (Optional) Set the Valid From and Valid Until dates to define the access duration (3)        Click "save" to finalize the process (4)     Visitor detail screen The Visitor details page provides an overview of all essential visitor information and useful actions. Bluetooth Card Mode - how to setup My2n App and use the feature

To be able to use BT in My2n App, you have 2 different ways to pair your mobile with another 2N intercom or another 2N Access Unit. Online Pairing and Offline Pairing.   We do recommend using cloud pairing exclusively as you can then easily manage all credential types for all users in My2N at one place. But you can use Offline pairing, for example, if some users have some old mobiles (Android 8 or 9 , or iOS 15). However, Offline Pairing cannot be done using Access Commander .   For a brand new site in My2N - Start with online pairing first! Once you have your 2N devices in My2N and first cloud access is assigned, you can also create offline paired credentials on the device itself - you must create a separate user in the device directory for that. If you create offline paired credential first, after enabling the cloud access, already created offline credentials will stop working.   For already running My2N site - If your site in My2N already uses offline paired credentials which you have created on the devices by enabling online pairing (enable My2N app access for at least 1 user) all offline paired credentials will be revoked. We recommend switching those offline paired users to online pairing. If not possible, you must create offline paired access for those users again.  Card Mode - Overview Card Mode uses Bluetooth wireless communication technology between two devices over a distance. Once you have your 2N devices in My2N and first cloud access is assigned, you can also create offline paired credentials on the device itself - you must create a separate user in the device directory for that. If you create offline paired credential first, after enabling the cloud access, already created offline credentials will stop working.   For already running My2N site - If your site in My2N already uses offline paired credentials which you have created on the devices by enabling online pairing (enable My2N app access for at least 1 user) all offline paired credentials will be revoked. We recommend switching those offline paired users to online pairing. If not possible, you must create offline paired access for those users again.  Touch Mode - Overview Touch Mode uses Bluetooth wireless communication technology between two devices over a distance. Prerequisites  2N Helios IP intercom added in My2N account -  Android tablet or smartphone running Android operating system version 6 or newer or iOS tablet or smartphone running iOS operating system version 12 or newer     Step by step guide   In My2N – Devices press the ADD DEVICE button in order to add your smartphone or tablet device to your My2N account.  New window will appear. Please choose to add Smartphone or Tablet by clicking on it. In the next step, you need to name your new device and assign its user. Usually it should be the holder of smartphone or tablet.         Device's login SIP credentials for My2N will be sent to selected user's email address.      You can also add the new device to a button of an intercom here. Simply select the intercom and press the + button to add it. Confirm your choice by clicking on FINISHED button. After you finish, an email will be sent to user's email address and you will get a confirmation dialog window.   Now you have successfully added your smartphone or tablet to the My2N account.You can add another device by repeating steps 1-5 and choosing a different device name.     In order to make calls from intercom to mobile devices over My2N, buttons on the intercom need to be configured to call correct mobile devices. In case that you have some issues with the 2N Mobile Video  such as: Incoming calls from intercom are not received while app is in background (smartphone is not ringing)Incoming calls from intercom are not received while the smartphone is locked (smartphone is not ringing) Quick Tip: In case that the phone is not ringing while the app is in background - you can try to open the app and make a call from the intercom towards the app - if you can receive this call while the app is in foreground and not while the app is in background, push notifications are most likely disabled.  There are 4 main setting features that needs to be checked: Battery optimisation - Some phones are switching off the apps due to the battery usage - push notifications may or may not work, depending on the implementation of the rule for each vendor. In this article, we are going to explain to you how you can change the ringtone for the My2N application on your iPhone (13.5.1) or iPad device when using Standard mode. The application is slightly different on each operating system. The reason why the behaviour is different in each OS is a different approach to the communication between the application and the operating system, that's why you cannot change the ringtone right in the app as you can do for Android devices.      This is possible only if you are using Fullscreen incoming calls!        iPhone  Make a call from the intercom to the iPhone, open a Phone application and choose the Recents tab.  Use Create New Contact for the intercom.  Set a custom Ringtone for the intercom. There are 2 ways how you can download or send us the logs from the My2N application. This method works for both Android and iOS platforms.        Method 1: Using report form The first way how to send us the logs is to use the report form directly in the My2N application. This option is the best if you don't have any active cases and you are not in touch with 2N Technical Support yet. You can just simply click on the option "Report a problem" in the settings of the app.       Please note that to be able to effectively analyse logs sent from the app - 2N Technical Support needs as much info related to the issue as possible. Please do not forget to always specify:  Time/date of the issue (call with the issue)  Ticket number - in case you are already in touch with 2N Technical Support and you are sending new logs related to the issue/case which has been already reported to 2N Technical Support.  Proper description - what exactly is happening, what do you see/hear, when it is happening, during incoming or outgoing calls, the app in foreground or background (closed or locked phone), etc.         Method 2: Send logs to your email (if you already have a ticket with Tech Support) This second approach is better in case, that you are already in touch with 2N Technical Support and you are requested to provide new/additional logs. You can send the logs directly to your email and then attach the logs to the case which is already opened at 2N. Logs can be downloaded by tapping 7x on the version of the application in Settings > About the app and sending the logs to your mail or saving it to your smartphone.    If you are able to easily replicate the issue, it is better to start with a clean log file before you replicate it, here is how to delete all old logs, so you can provide our Technical Support with logs that contain only the reported issue:   Do not delete the logs if the issue occurred in the last 2-3 days (maximum size of the log file) and you are not able to easily reproduce it

We want to provide users with a secure, fast, and user-friendly service. To give them this (and more), we had to change the app.        Will users have to install a new app if they already use 2N Mobile Video? No. The 2N Mobile Video app that they have on their phone will change/have changed to the My2N app as part of a regular update. They will see a new icon and a new app name. How will the change affect how the app works? After the update, the service will work as before including all settings. However, some users will be asked to create a My2N account in the app. Why do some users need to create a My2N account? The login method for the 2N Mobile Video app doesn’t meet current standards. With the new app, we’re gradually switching to the usual way of logging into mobile apps: using an email and a user-generated password. This also makes it much easier for end users to remember their login details. Which users need to create a My2N account? In the first phase, we’ll ask the most common end-users to create one: those who have just one phone/tablet paired to their account (1 user = 1 device). How does a user create a My2N account? Selected users will see a notification in the app asking them to create a My2N account.  They click on the notification in the app asking to create a My2N account  They select the option to create a My2N account  Enter their email, first name and surname  They will then be asked to confirm the account via their email. Important: they need to open and confirm the email on the same device (phone/tablet) as they will use with the My2N app. (If they don’t, they‘ll need to log in to my2n.com. Logging in there will confirm the account creation)  Create their password  What if the app tells them they already have a My2N account? This could happen if, for example, they’ve forgotten they already have an account, or perhaps you (or the property manager) may have created one for them in the past. What should they do?  They click on a notification in the app asking them to create a My2N account  They select the option to log in to an existing My2N account  They then should use the "forgot password" option  What if a user has more than one device paired to their account? For now, these users won’t be prompted by the new app to create a My2N account. However, the transition to the new way of logging into the app will eventually affect almost every user. We'll keep you updated on further progress in due course. How are user creation and system administration changing? User creation varies depending on how many devices you add to a user. We have divided them into two groups: a) 1 user = 1 deviceAs we mentioned before, some users (1 user = 1 device) will switch to the new system by logging in with their email and password (creating a My2N account). If you create new users with only one device, they will only be able to log in to My2N using the new method. b) 1 user = 2 or more devicesIf you add additional devices to an existing user or create a completely new installation where you plan to assign multiple devices to a single user, the procedure remains the same as before.These users will log in to the My2N application the same way they logged into 2N Mobile Video (i.e. using the device ID and a generated password)In the future, we plan to switch to a My2N account or a My2N-like alternative for these scenarios as well. Therefore, we recommend creating unique users with unique emails (1 user = 1 device) in all projects where possible. What happens if selected users don’t create a My2N account? At first, nothing will happen, the app will still work the same for a few months, but there will be a reminder request to create an account. At some point, however, users will not be able to avoid it and won’t be able to use the app until they have created an account. We apologize for this inconvenience, but without this step, we are unable to ensure that the service meets current security standards. Therefore, we recommend that users create an account as soon as the application prompts them. It will take a maximum of 2 minutes. The procedure on how to create a My2N account and which users are affected by the change can be found in the document above. Is there any change to the ordering service? No, the service ordering process and ordering numbers remain the same.

How to setup alternative phonebook in My2N

You are able to set up various numbers of custom phonebooks. The custom phonebook can contain all devices registered within the My2N service or just selected ones, based on user preferences. All your intercoms are included in the default phonebook at the beginning, however, you are able to create new phonebooks and by this restrict the intercoms which specific users can call to. It is not possible to delete the default phonebook. It is necessary to have some devices added to the My2N service first, to be able to create any new phonebooks.  Note   Phonebooks can be used like a whitelist. You can create different phonebooks for different mobile video users. Mobile video users have access only to selected intercoms in the phonebook.           You can create a new phonebook in the My2N Call Settings-Phonebooks menu section. You can add the phonebook by clicking on the  + ADD NEW PHONEBOOK  button shown in the figure 1  Figure 1   As a next step, you can assign the name of the phonebook and select devices that will be included in the phonebook. In this example, our phonebook is called "phonebook" and there are 2 devices included.    Figure 2 You can verify the number of devices in each phonebook. In Call settings - Phonebooks. To be able to use BT in My2n App, you have 2 different ways to pair your mobile with another 2N intercom or another 2N Access Unit. Online Pairing and Offline Pairing. We do recommend using cloud pairing exclusively as you can then easily manage all credential types for all users in My2N at one place. But you can use Offline pairing, for example, if some users have some old mobiles (Android 8 or 9 , or iOS 15). However, Offline Pairing cannot be done using Access Commander .   For a brand new site in My2N - Start with online pairing first! Once you have your 2N devices in My2N and first cloud access is assigned, you can also create offline paired credentials on the device itself - you must create a separate user in the device directory for that. If you create offline paired credential first, after enabling the cloud access, already created offline credentials will stop working. For already running My2N site - If your site in My2N already uses offline paired credentials which you have created on the devices by enabling online pairing (enable My2N app access for at least 1 user) all offline paired credentials will be revoked. We recommend switching those offline paired users to online pairing. In this case just hit CONFIGURE:    If you finaly decide to want to use My2n Online pairing for BT access, choose Manage via My2N:      If you finally decide to want to use My2N Online pairing for BT access, choose Manage via My2N. If you recognize that an already existing location ID is the one created when you offline paired a mobile with a physical device (Not Thru ACOM), you can choose it and the user using offline pairing will be able to have the Offline pairing working. Or you can generate a new ID for online pairing and afterward offline-pair a mobile directly with the intercom or the Access Unit, and it will work. I don't get screenshots of missed calls in My2n App or in answering unit history call

If you don't see any screenshot in your My2N App call history, or on your Answering unit call history, or if sometime they don't appear, why is that and what can be done? The most important to know, is that those screenshots are personal data that provides you with a call activity log (an image preview in the call log that shows who tried to call the user with an intercom). The legal basis for this processing is the performance of our mutual contract. Photos taken by our Devices are only transmitted via 2N’s switchboard in a communication network, not stored by 2N (https://my2n.com/legal/privacy-notice/v5) This implies that if the devices being called are not able to receive the call(s), the screenshots will not appear. So you can get such screenshots in the App Call history:    Or in the Indoor station call history:    This can be caused by multiple causes and you are able to avoid some of them.   The calling device does not have a camera or video codec enabled.             This is very easy to check, as you usually do not have a screen capture, but you also don't see any video when the call is answered.             To see if a 2N intercom has a camera, navigate :             In the Old Web Interface, to State-->Device-->Device features and see if a camera is integrated:             In the New Web Interface, to Dashboard and you will directly see if there is a camera integrated:                If there is an integrated camera, verify if some video codec is enabled. If 2 are available, it is worth enabling both of them, in the Old, then, in the New Web Interface:  and   The device has camera, video codec enabled but there is too much packet loss in the communication and the mobile (or the answerimg unit) cannot download properly the screenshot             In this case, try to change the connectivity of your mobile from WiFi to Mobile Data and the packet loss should be decreased and you should get the screenshots.   The intercom is calling a call Group and another device answered before your mobile was even alerted:            The intercoms is calling a ring group made of multiple answering units and mobiles. Your mobile is in your pocket or on the table in sleeping mode and needs few seconds before to get  activated. If the call is answered elsewhere before your mobile got alerted, you will receive a missed call notification but no screenshot.   You have an iOS device, and despite your mobile is ringing, you decided not to answer. Again you won't get screenshot, unless you choose the Banner Mode (follow instructions and explanations from https://www.2n.com/en-GB/faqs/ios-no-video-preview-fullscreen-banner-mode-kA0Rn000000r67RKAQ?category=apps-and-software&product=my2n-app).   You are already in another call, even GSM call, your mobile will get a notification but if you don't answer the call, you won't get any screenshot.

I have a mobile with Android version 8 or 9 and want to use my2n App

You have an old version of Android in your mobile, at least version 8 or version 9 and you want to use the my2n App. This page will allow you to install the old my2n App version.  The old version won't allow you to use the mobile key part of the new App. With those Android version, if you don't already have mobile key App installed, you won't be able to use this functionnality.  Here is the link you have to send on your mobile which works with one of the 2 version mentioned above : My2N_2.4.0_release So, download the file. the sent it to your mobile by email or other miscellaneous applications and open it (1).  You will be asked if you want to install it (2)         Then you will get the confirmation the App is installed (3) and you can use it immediately (4)      Just be aware that with those old Android versions on your mobile you won't be able to use the mobile key part of the  newest application, and if you don't have the old mobile key App already installed you won't be able to install it .

iOS - no video preview (Fullscreen / Banner mode)

My2N is using the standard Apple CallKit interface to make calls to your iOS device. This interface is used for proper communication between iOS functions and applications and only allows you to answer or decline a call. You cannot see the video preview while the screen is locked or the app is running in the background because Apple does not implement the video preview function.     However, we have made a workaround called "Banner" mode, the call will ring in the form of a notification, and upon clicking on it, you will be redirected to the app, where the video preview is visible, after that, you can choose to answer the call or ignore it.                  open the My2N application  open the section settings  click on the Calling Subsection  Under Calling settings, choose Display incoming calls choose the type of notification, the banner mode is the one which will solve your video preview issue   The notification mode will redirect you to the app upon clicking on it; it will allow you to see who stands in front of the door before answering.

I want to start using the My2N app instead of Mobile Key, but I do not see the „+“ icon in the My2N app to start the PIN pairing flow, what should I do?

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.  Before we enable Mobile Key transfer for everyone, there is a possibility, that some users will have active Mobile Key in the background. If they want to start using the new app already before the transfer is turned on, they can just delete the Mobile Key app and the „+“ icon will appear in the My2N app.    As the installation admin, you can navigate to the Remote configuration feature in the My2N portal to reach the intercom's web GUI. In there, navigate to Directory -> Users, select the designated user and scroll down to find WaveKey option.   Once the pairing PIN is typed into the app, the app will ask you to pair the device.     Just note that deleting the Mobile Key app will remove any paired locations and access logs.

MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 - How to install 2N PICard Commander and program cards

Product Description 2N PICard Commander is a software used for the encryption of access card credentials. The app creates projects which generate a set of encryption and reading keys. The reading keys from these projects can then be imported into a 2N device or 2N Access Commander which will then take care of the distribution into 2N devices connected to the 2N Access Commander. The 2N PICard Commander technology is used to encrypt the MIFARE DESFire EV2 and MIFARE DESFire EV3 cards.  Requirements The main requirements are installed 2N PICard Commander, RFID USB reader and writable Mifare Desfire EV2 or EV3 cards (either existing or purchased from 2N). Detailed information can be found in the 2N PICard Commander manual.   Licensing You need to install 2N PICard Commander first.Once installed you will need to add the license. The license is tied to the USB reader. You will need the Device key which can be found under Help/License:  At the bottom, you will see the Device key of the connected USB reader (the USB reader has to be connected to the PC where the 2N PICard Commander is running). Once the license file is loaded it will be confirmed in the 2N PICard Commander app.   If you connect a USB reader other than the licensed one, you will be notified in the app as the new reader would have to be licensed as well.      Getting started By creating new projects you can encrypt access card groups in different modes. Each project can be set up for a specific use of these cards.Each project generates unique encryption and reading keys. Only one key can be imported into a 2N device or 2N Access Commander.   To start a new project select the Start new project button or File/New project (CTRL + N). To open an already existing project you can select it at the bottom of the application or select the Open project button and open it from a file. Alternatively, select File/Open project (CTRL + O).   Setting up a new project When you start a new project you need to set these parameters:  Project name – Name of the project  Project description – Any notes you would like to mention     Next, you need to select a main encryption key (MEK). Make sure it is unique and strong enough. The 2N PICard Commander app uses the MEK to generate key sets for card encryption. If you lose the project, a new one can be created with this MEK to access the encrypted cards since the key sets are generated based on this MEK. This means that two projects with the same MEK will have the same key sets.     MEK cannot be shown nor changed later!        Mode selection There are 3 modes to choose from for the project.      Selecting Card will be used only for access control with 2N will enable Random ID which cannot be disabled afterwards!       Selecting Card is already used for other applications is irreversible     Once you have completed previous steps you will be able prompted to save your project.The file will be saved as projectname.picprj.You also have the option of protecting the project file with a password.    A forgotten password cannot be viewed or changed at a later date    Advanced settings     Encrypting cards Once the project is set up you can start encrypting cards.Start by selecting Add card button under Card encryption.  This will show you a prompt to place the card on the reader and leave it there. Once you do so you should see the change in the window. If the card is compatible, you can click on the Encrypt button.      In case there is some issue with the card you will also be notified:   The card cannot be personalized – 2N PICard Commander doesn’t have access to the MEK of the presented card. Not enough free space on the card – There is not enough space on the card to upload the 2N PICard technology. Unsupported card – The program doesn’t support the presented card’s type Only Mifare DESFire EV2 or EV3 are supported – The presented card is MIFARE DESFire EV1 Communication failure with card – The reader couldn’t read the card. Place the card on the reader and do not remove it before the encryption process is complete.     Once the encryption process is completed you will get confirmation on the screen    Read keys export In order for the 2N readers to access the data on the card they need to know the read key of the project. You can either export the read keys for a 2N device as a file or into the 2N Access Commander which will then distribute them to devices connected to it. To export the keys, press the Export button on the main screen (or Project/Export reader keys) This will open a window where you can select how you want to export the keys.    To export the read keys as a file, select where the file should be saved and choose a password.  Once exported, you can upload the file into the 2N unit  Select the .picrok file and fill in the password.  Or you can upload the file to Access Commander: Version 3.0+  Version 2.7.1 or older  Alternatively, you can export the read keys directly into the 2N Access Commander by filling Access Commander's IP address and admin account credentials.  Once the keys are imported, make sure to also pair the reader on the 2N device.This function is found under Hardware/Extenders:    Formatting the card To format the whole card or delete the 2N PICard application open the Project/Format card. Here you can choose whether you want to completely format the card or only delete the app.     Practical tips Here you will find some practical tips and situations you can encounter while using 2N PICard Commander.    What if I lose the project file? You need to know the Main Encryption Key. If you lose a project file, you can create another one with the same MEK and you will be able to edit the existing cards within that project or add new ones.As mentioned above, the encryption keys are based on the MEK so as long as the MEKs in different projects match you are able to add and/or edit cards.     How to solve a situation when there are both Picard-compatible and Picard-incompatible readers on the site?  In this situation you will need to use two parts of one card – one using the 2N PICard Commander application and the other using a format readable by a reader incompatible with 2N PICard Commander – a public one (i.e. card's serial number, etc..)This way you will make sure the user has correct access with one card.     How do I ensure the best security using 2N® PICard Commander? The most secure way is to use only 2N PICard cards. To further support this it is recommended to disable all the other card types on the reader (Hardware/Extenders) and use a project using ID randomization.Along with a strong MEK and the project file safely stored you ensure the best security.     How can I write a PICard credential on a card already being used by a customer? First, you need to know the PICC master key of the respective card. The card must be also set in a way that it requires the PICC master key to be entered to write a 2N PICard application on it. Then you may create a new project in a standard way as described above. When selecting the card mode, select the “Card is already used for other applications (advanced settings).

This FAQ describes, what you have to check when issues with your My2N account and related devices appear. In most of the cases a malfunction is caused by some missing configuration.  Below you find the most common issues and their solutions. FAQ describes possible issues on side of My2N server, intercom or your mobile device. Not all the steps will give you a solution, but some of them will give you a root of the problem, which you can later report via the support form in your My2N account.    What should I check on the side of the My2N  What should I check on the side of the My2N app  What should I check on the side of the 2N IP intercom  Has the intercom proper connectivity to the internet?  Router settings (for Mobile Video and Remote Configuration services)  Which details you should provide to Technical Support?   What should I check on the side of the My2N   Are the devices successfully added, enabled and registered? On the page "Devices" you can find overview of all the added devices The column "Device status" shows current status of the device:   Registered  -    Device is successfully registered with the My2N server (In case of My2N mobile app it means that the app is currently opened and on the foreground)      Ready    - This status is shown for the application registered with the My2N server but currently on the background of your mobile device     Not registered    - Device was previously registered with the My2N server but it is no longer registered at the moment. Check the configuration and connectivity of the device, this can also refer to licence expire. Can be applied for all the types of devices.    Missing call settings   - Intercom is registered with the My2N server, but you have not configured call settings. Edit the intercom and click on call settings. Then configure the buttons.     Credentials needed   - This status means that device was created within the My2N server, but the device was not configured yet. Configure the device to register it with the My2N server.      Are subscriptions for the devices already purchased? On the page "Devices" you can find overview of all the added devices. The columns "Device status" shows the current status information of the device. Other device states from above are still applied:  Ready/Registered - Device is being used under the free trial period and/or the license has been paid. The device is working as intended  Deactivated - Device 2N Mobile Video has been disabled under the "Devices", "Device" and "2N Mobile Video" tab   Unlicensed - Together with Use Available Credit -   Subscription was paid but the credit was not assigned to this device or apartment, you can click on Use Available Credit to use available credits in the site If you using Residential site model, make sure that the smartphone device is assigned to the corresponding apartment  Unlicensed - Together with   PURCHASE -  No subscription purchased, you can click on PURCHASE to buy a new subscription You can purchase subscription via entering a credit/debit card or by purchasing a credit voucher from your nearest 2N Distributor     Are there any Phonebooks created?  In case that everything from the previous step looks fine but you are not able to reach any device from your mobile app, then the devices are not in the Phonebook or in different one If not configured other way, app is using the default phonebook. You can check it on the page of the particular device    In section "Call Settings" and "Phonebooks" you can check which devices are added to the default phonebook or create another one.     What should I check on the side of the My2N app Always check whether you have the latest version of the app in Google Play for Android devices or in App Store for iOS devices, next steps:  When using My2N app always remember to uninstall the old 2N IP Mobile application. Also DO NOT use this app in combination with My2N app as it does not support push notifications  When everything looks fine, but you are still not able to register your app with the server, then test the same on different internet connections  Communication has to be fully transparent. Some mobile carriers can block SIP traffic or certain ports. If you were able to do successful test on different connections but your mobile data, then contact your operator about possibility to enable SIP traffic for you  If your phone does not ring when the app is on the background (status in the web interface of My2N server is Ready), then try to change something in your phonebook as described above and wait whether the change will be written into yours app phonebook or not Open My2N app, click on Settings and Advanced Settings:       The application registered:      The application is trying to register:   The application is not registered and the previous registration failed:     If you are facing some troubles with the app - try to uninstall the app, restart the phone and install it again.   What should I check on the side of the 2N IP intercom Below you will find a few steps which need to be checked on the side of the intercom in case of any issues. However, before you will continue with these steps always check whether the intercom has the current FW version! The latest FW version for the intercoms can be always downloaded from our website here.  Is the configuration of the intercom configured to automatic mode or manual? You have two options on how to configure the intercom. The first of them is via Auto Provisioning and you can enable/disable it in the section "System" (1), "Auto Provisioning" (2) and "My2N" (3):  When the feature is enabled, then the device is configured automatically by the My2N server regarding your call settings  Under the Connection State, you can check the My2N Status (4) It is recommended to keep this feature enabled:       Has the intercom proper connectivity to the internet? The simplest way how to check the internet connection for the intercom is by using the in-built ping tool:  It can be found in the section "System" (1), "Diagnostics" (2) and "Diagnostics" - "Diagnostic Package" (3)  You can ping the proxy server directly by clicking on the "Ping" (4)    Input the My2N proxy address and click on Ping  Ping result should return: OK    When you need to use a static IP address, do not forget to also fill in the DNS servers  If the DNS is not set correctly, then the intercom won't be able to ping the My2N server or even register with it, as it won't be able to resolve the domain You can set this up under the "System" (1), "Network" (2) and "Basic" (3)   Once you will be sure about connectivity for the Intercom, you can also check registration status of the intercom in the section  Go under "Calling" (1), select "SIP2" (2) and then "Configuration" (3)  You can check the status on the bottom, under "Registration State" (4)     Router settings (for Mobile Video and Remote Configuration services) If your router supporst SIP ALG and UPnP features please make sure that the settings of those parameters are following:  UPnP enabled  SIP ALG disabled  UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) - is a set of networking protocols that permits networked devices, such as personal PCs, printers, mobile devices and so on to seamlessly discover each other's presence on the network and establish functional network services. You already have your Applewatch and you My2N App install on it. But every single time you have to use the App, you need to search it within all other applications. There is a way to make it easier, you can use a complication (widget) to open the nearest door with just one tap.   Here are the few steps that will make your experience faster and easier : Go in your iOS mobile, in you AppleWatch App and choose one of your faces (1) by hitting it: You will be redireceted automatically to a new section and scrool down until you find the Complications (2). Then you will choose one of the proposed locations where to have the widget located. For the example I have chosen Top Left with Temperature (3) with temperature (but any other is fine) So hit it .You will be again redireceted, and again scrool down until you find the option for My2N. You will find 2 choices, Open My2N and Unlock nearest door.If you choose the first Open My2N (4) A new icon (widget) will appear on your face in Apple Watch App as in the Apple Watch itself  And you will see all the nearest doors if you hit the widget on your AppleWatch: You will choose the door you want to open and hit on it (5). From November 1st 2025, you have the possibility to activate switches from the App without being in a call. Therefore, that offers you the possibility to activate Access Units switches as well. Previously, you were just able to add Access Units in Access Groups and assign thoses devices to Access Rules. Users with appropriate credentials (PIN, BT, RFID fobs) were able to activate switches. From now you can do it directly from the App, using API Opening. However, the user needs to have access to this Access Unit, thanks to Access Rules or thanks to Apartment. As the user needs to be able to access the device under the calling section, the site requires an active Mobile Video subscription for his mobile or his apartment. For Intercoms you just need to activate the switch (1) as previously, from the App, without generating automatically a call:      But, now, thanks to API Opening,you can do it from an Access Unit as well. The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. Codec settings Once added to My2N, the intercom is configured to support both the highest quality and most widely used codecs. This ensures that the audio is of the highest quality when calling the application, and it also ensures compatibility with most third party SIP devices. However, it may happen that your SIP device is using different codecs. That's why each of our intercoms offers individual codec settings. The settings can be accessed from My2N through the remote configuration, using the open configuration button.     In the intercom Old Web Interface you have to click on the dark blue menu Calling -> SIP 2 -> Audio. Here you will see the codec settings.  In the intercom New Web Interface you have to navigate through Calling -> SIP 2 -> Audio.  The G.722 codec is used for calls to the My2N app. However, not all SIP devices support this codec. For this reason, different codecs can be set to different priorities. Most of SIP devices uses G.711 (PCMA/PCMU), that is why they are set as priority 2 and 3 respectively. It is very important to know, that the more codecs are enabled, the more the communication is prone to issues. It is not recommended to have all codecs enabled. In case you are experiencing low volume issue with G722 audio Codec with highest priority, you can try this very audio codec configuration, and ususally, it solves significally the issue:    Or  We just removed the G.722 codec from the available codecs and modified the priority with the others. You can use that model as example and try to modify or adjust accordingly with your local prerequisites. Audio settings All 2N intercoms also do have their internal audio settings where you can increase the overall volume in the Master volume setting. Furthermore, you can adjust the sound properties even more in the Adaptive Volume. It can be set in a way it filters out the background noise that might interfere with the overall sound and it can also increase the gain of all sounds above a certain set treshold. This article explains, how to program one user MIFARE DESFire card or fob so it works with both 2N PICard Commander and 2N Fortis for access.  A Mifare DESFire card is designed to hold multiple secure applications side by side. Each product stores its credentials in its own protected “area” of the card.  As long as both products follow the setup order, they won’t interfere with each other.  This means one physical card can carry credentials from both products, so your users only need to carry one card instead of two. Requirements Mifare DESFire EV2 or EV3 card (while EV1 cards still work for 2N Fortis, it will not work for 2N PICard Commander). Do not reformat the card or change global card settings later.While programming you need to use same Master key (MEK) and PICC key as you are going to use later for 2N Fortis programming  For programming user card  in 2N PICard Comamnder please refer to MIFARE DESFire EV2/EV3 - How to install 2N PICard Commander and program cards  Then use 2N Fortis to add its application holding secure credential to card.  2N Fortis adds its own secure application area without disturbing 2N PICard Commander's application on card. CONFIGURATION   We add 2N IP Handset within the My2N account (how to create a My2N account as a 3rd-party device    Info   As it is not a standard intercom or 2N answering unit, the device can only be added to My2N as a "3rd-party" device, and its use by the 2N Mobile Video cloud service is thus charged.      In the detail of the My2N device you will then have SIP registration data for entering into the web interface of the 2N IP Handset device.      In the web interface of the 2N IP Handset device go to the Line section and you will immediately get to the SIP tab, where you fill in (see the picture below) in the category  Register Settings:Username - number given by the PBX (9691147035 in the example below)Authenticate User - ID used for authentication against the proxy (same as username with My2N)Authentication password - password provided by the proxySIP Server 1:Server Address - proxy server address (proxy-200.my2n.com in the example)Server Port is 5060 and transport protocol TCP.         At the top right check the Activate box under the Register settings and click Apply at the bottom of the page to save the settings.       Line Staus will then show us whether the device is successfully registered - see the picture above (Registered). For apartment buildings, you should contact a building manager, for family houses check with your installer or with a member of your family.                         What does it mean? If you see this error, your My2N account does not have any assigned device to log into. How to fix it? You need to assign a mobile device under your My2N account.      How to assign a device?  Log in to the My2N portal as a company/site admin  Choose the correct site and locate the user who does not have access to the My2N application    Now choose the correct owner of the mobile device and save the changes afterwards
