Info   This FAQ describe, how to save configuration from communicator unit 2N Lift1 with software 2N Lift1 Service Tool.  For configuration download is necessary 2N Programming Tool, for PC connection using USB.  Is necessary to have installed 2N Service Tool, actual version can be downloaded on www.2n.com             PC connection with programming tool:  Info    Being programmed, 2N Lift1 is powered from the USB port and need not be connected to a telephone line. Having been disconnected, however, 2N Lift1 loses power and thus all unsaved data.  To make your 2N Lift1 remember time, leave the line connected during programming. Thus, no data will be lost after USB disconnection and the line will be detected as seized during programming.  The programming interface provides galvanic isolation of the PC and 2N Lift1.  The 10-wire interconnecting cable has no key on the 2N Lift1 side, so respect the cable colours (see the figure). An inverse connection does not damage the device.  Correct PC and 2N Lift1 connections are indicated by the blue LED on the edge, which goes on and signals power supply.  If the PC-2N Lift1 interconnecting program is running in 2N Lift1, the green LED starts shining. If not, mount the proper jumper (refer to 2.5 or 2.7 – Installation universal design / compact version) to switch 2N Lift1 into the recovery mode.  The green LED flashes to indicate programming.              Configuration download with service tool When the 2N Lift1 Programming Tool is connected to a PC, the device is detected and the proper driver is installed. The 2N Lift1 Programming Tool is then automatically assigned a COM port. View the COM port in the Connect to device menu in the 2N Lift1 Service Tool. After connection and configuration download click on "Save to a File".

2N SingleTalk - Wont hang up automatically - What to do, if it wont hang up automatically?

Introduction to the issue: If the operator does not correctly hang up the alarm call from the elevator car with the character 5 or #, 2N SingleTalk (hereinafter referred to as ST) must recognize the busy tone to automatically end the call. If this busy tone is not according to the ETSI standard, the communication device ST is not able to recognize that the link has been dropped. Consequence: The ST communication device is automatically hung up after the time defined by parameter 912 - Maximum talk time. In most cases, however, by this time the switchboard will mark the telephone line where the ST is connected as non-functional and set the status to "fault". Only the control panel administrator is able to change this status. Solution procedure: Verify that the busy tone from the control panel is a standard ETSI* busy tone (the same applies to ST connected to an analog GSM gateway other than 2N EasyGate) Record the cast tone (format: wav, mp3, aiff, wmv, arm) and contact your local partner * busy tone parameters for the Czech Republic: 330ms tone / 330ms silence, tone frequency: 425Hz

To do so, you need to follow certain settings of 2N Lift8 Central Unit and meet specific restrictions and requirements in such connection.  Prerequisites 2N Lift8 Central Unit with communication module (  latest firmware recommended  ) 4x 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP (  one for each elevator  ) USB cable (optional) Computer with installed 2N Lift8 Service tool (optional)   Step by step guide  When 2N Lift8 Central Unit is powered up, please access its programming using 2N Lift8 Service tool and setup parameter 994 (Enable 4-lift version) to value 1.      In case you cannot connect computer to 2N Lift8 Central Unit, you are able to set this parameter by calling to 2N Lift8 Central Unit by phone and by using DTMF to set parameter 994 to value 1.    Install each of 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP to single elevator. In this setup you can use only one 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP in each elevator and shaft in total.  Jumper each 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP to different position for each elevator as show on image below.    You can Interconnect each of 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP with 2N Lift8 Central Unit using two wire cable to same one audio port in 2N Lift8 Central Unit. Please follow + and - polarity of cables of each 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP.         You can also connect other audio units such as 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - Shaft and 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - Compact instead of 2N Lift8 Audio Unit - COP. Info   This FAQ describes how get unknown IP address of 2N LiftIP. There are two ways how to get IP address, both are described below. First option is acustic announcement of the IP address via voice menu. Second option is getting the IP address via 2N LiftIP Service Tool, which is software for configuration of the device. This software contains network scanner for 2N LiftIP devices.    Getting IP address via the voice menu Hold the button for apx. for 3s MENU/SELECT to start voice configuration menu. Device will start announcement „Voice system menu. To leave the menu press the BACK button." If error is detected, error number will be announced. Announcement continues with IP address, DHCP and restore of factory default. Where you can find button MENU/SELECT is showed in the picture below (Label 1).  Menu will announce informations:  If error is detected: „Attention, the device is not working properly! Error code ..."  „IP address je x.x.x.x"  „DHCP client ON/OFF, to change the DHCP settings press the SELECT button now." (if the SELECT button is not pressed, menu continues to next setting).  „To perform the factory reset press the SELECT button now." (if button is not pressed, voice menu ends)  If you only need to know IP address of the devices, let the device announce whole menu and do not press any button. For further information about voice menu please read chapture 2.6 of user manual.   Getting IP address via the scanner Second option how to get unknown IP address is quite easy. Open 2N LiftIP Service Tool. On the top toolbar go to section Device->Connect device.  Only thing you have to do now is to switch to the Scanner and it will show you available devices in your network. Double-click on the device will connect the tool to the device directly.

In the menu Calling on LiftIP2 (LIP2) these accounts must be set as SIP1 and SIP2 (SIP3 and SIP4 can be used too). SIP PBX must be in the same LAN as connected devices (example below) or on a public IP address. Example SIP1 setting (values to be set according to SIP account on PBX) Display Name (for Alarm1 identification in call): Alarm1_SIP ID and phone number on SIP PBX for SIP1: 100 IP address of PBX: 192.168.1.223 Port on PBX: 15060 Password: 100100 (not visible)            Setting of SIP2 according to second account on PBX: Alarm2_SIP, phone number 200           User setting In the menu User must be set two different users for calling when Alarm1 or Alarm2 is activated. Recognition of activated button is done by the assigned SIP account (Alarm1_SIP or Alarm2_SIP), although the SIP real account is not used. When connection peer to peer is used, devices must be connected to one LAN, and the IP address in the LAN for the used devices must be fixed. Using of DHCP server is not recommended, as when the DHCP server restarts, a different address can be assigned, and the system is than out of function.   Long pressing of Alarm2 on LiftIP2 action   Short pressing of the Alarm2 button (less than 0,5s) is interpreted as a demand to call the user set in the menu Calling/AlarmCall/Destinations. Long pressing of the Alarm 2 button is used for Rescue mode and is set in menu Services/Lift/Rescue mode. When rescue mode by the Alarm2 button is not active, long pressing doesn’t activate any action. When a response to both short and long pressing of the Alarm2 button is demanded, rescue mode by Alarm2 should be inactive, reaction to pressing of Alarm2 in the moment of pressing can be set using Automation functionality. Select menu Services/Automation and enable functionality for Alarm2 service support. Battery failure is signalized by rotation of the signal strength indicator as shown below:  This might happen if your batteries have more then 2 years, or that there is some kind of battery problem.To check batteries and solve battery life issue: SMS solution (Only for EasyGates PRO with firmware 18.x.x)  Check batteries with SMS EG INF 12345, you will receive SMS where you will see this information: EXP:0 Time to battery change (days): Lift Functions  Put new batteries into the gateway 4x AA NIMH.  Send SMS with counter reset, parameter 60, confirmation with password: EG CNF 12345 60 = 12345.      Note   When the batteries expire, the line voltage does not turn off, as with other power failures. SMS sent in case of power / battery error has the form: Power: On Battery: Ready Expire in: 0          Analogue phone connected to the FXS port solution:  Try to change batteries.  Reset with the analogue phone connected to the FXS port by dialing 12345*60*12345* the counter for battery expiration.       Warning    For backup use only suggested type of accumulators NiMh size AA. Only this type of storage batteries is permitted for use! When another type of batteries is used, there is a danger of damage of device or even explosion!  Recommended batteries are with at least 2000mAh.The battery should never be placed in municipal waste. Please check local regulations for disposal of batteries.

Name the device, select a folder and then insert your serial number and My2N security code.     Once added into Elevator Center go into your My2N account and add a new device.      Add the EasyGate IP as a 3rd Party device.      After filling the device and choosing/creating a user click the „ADD DEVICE“ button.      After creating the device click on it and at the bottom of the page you can see the credentials for your device.       Now you can go back into the Elevator Center and after clicking your device you scroll down to the SIP account and click „EDIT“.      Now you need to insert the credentials from My2N here.      Now you the device will display as registered in the Elevator Center and My2N.       If you have created a custom phonebook don’t forget to add the newly created device there as well.       Everything is set up now and you can start calling all the devices using their My2N numbers.

Buffer length warning Because the buffer for traces is limited, it is really necessary to start the trace right before you make the test call and then stop it before it reaches the maximum buffer size – 4096kB!  Please enable the Extended SIP Logging to see the SIP, RTP packets Please navigate through Calling- General settings - Enable the check box Exctended SIP Logging    Caution: If there is a video stream active during the trace, the files can grow large.  Local Packet Capturing - "Short" trace The advantage of the local packet capturing is that it is automatically launched upon boot up so it is possible to download the trace, including already ended call, while you have to manually launch the remote packet capturing. First of all, start the capture by clicking the "Start" button, make a call, and stop the capture by clicking the "Stop" button, then click the "Download" button to download the trace file (hiptrace.pcap) and send it to us.    Remote Packet Capturing - "Long" trace Similarly, you can use remote packet capturing. This has no limit so it can be used for longer tests. Start the capture by clicking the "Start" button, choosing how long it should be traced for. Once the time limit is reached or stopped manually by the "Stop" button, the trace will be downloaded automatically.    Send us the description of the used LAN topology, NATs, IP addresses, devices you're trying to integrate with, etc. that might help in solving the issue.  Local Syslog You can either set up a Syslog server or use the local Syslog, which can run up to 7 days (it can be interrupted at will). The 2N Elevator Center will ask you if you want to remove the device    The 2N EasyGate IP will then perform the factory reset. All of the settings will set to the default. The 2N EasyGate IP will turn off, the separate red LED indicator in position 1 among the signal LEDs goes on  and then the 2N EasyGate IP will turn on again with the LED indicators showing the EGIP status. Is necessary to have installed 2N Service Tool, actual version can be downloaded on www.2n.cz  You can change firmware version or voice menu - in both cases the procedure is the same.       PC connection with programming tool:  Info    Being programmed, 2N Lift1 is powered from the USB port and need not be connected to a telephone line. Having been disconnected, however, 2N Lift1 loses power and thus all unsaved data.  To make your 2N Lift1 remember time, leave the line connected during programming. Thus, no data will be lost after USB disconnection and the line will be detected as seized during programming.  The programming interface provides galvanic isolation of the PC and 2N Lift1.  The 10-wire interconnecting cable has no key on the 2N Lift1 side, so respect the cable colours (see the figure). An inverse connection does not damage the device.  Correct PC and 2N Lift1 connections are indicated by the blue LED on the edge, which goes on and signals power supply.  If the PC-2N Lift1 interconnecting program is running in 2N Lift1, the green LED starts shining. If not, mount the proper jumper (refer to 2.5 or 2.7 – Installation universal design / compact version) to switch 2N Lift1 into the recovery mode. Here first of all activate the capturing by "Start" button, make a call and deactivate the capturing by "Stop" button. Then download hiptrace.pcap file and send it to the support. Because the buffer for trace is limited, it is really necessary to start the trace right before you will make a test call.    Capture an internal Syslog on 2N OS device.   If 2N Tech support asks you for a Syslog they usually want the setting that is shown in the picture below. Unlike in Wireshark trace the buffer is not limited by size but time. Please set the Required Saving Time + Severity level according to 2N Tech support needs.   After setting press the "Start" button and the Syslog will automatically stop after the time you defined in  Required Saving Time, then save the syslog.txt file and send it to us.  6. In our test case, there are 3 shafts and MRU as a Lobby unit for all lifts in the group place.  Address Configuration of MRU: There is a group of jumpers under the transparent front cover. Do not use any of them if the machine room is only intended for the given lift. The audio unit identifies itself as the machine room for the given lift. If the machine room is to be shared by multiple lifts, configure the corresponding pins 1–8 for the lifts to share the machine room (numbered 1–8 from left to right 1–8). Audio Unit Cop: Reconfigure the jumper on configuration jumper 12.If there is poor access to the pins, you can remove the electronics cover. Slightly loosen the four screws and shift the cover downwards. Now you can remove the cover.The first 4 pins help set the audio unit location (1 – cabin ceiling, 2 – cabin, default, 3 – under cabin, 4 – shaft bottom, 1+ 4 – cabin 2 roof, 2+ 4 – cabin 2, 3 + 4 under cabin 2). Use the jumpers for 1–4 settings. In the cabin 2 setting, set one jumper to the shaft bottom position (4) and then select the position with the other jumper (1 – cabin 2 roof, 2 – cabin 2, 3 – under cabin 2).Configure the required changes as printed on the electronics cover.If you have removed the cover, put it back in the original position and tighten the screw. Pull the terminal out of connector 1 – Audio units bus, connect the bus audio units wires and replace the terminal to connector 1. Mind the polarity.  Audio Unit Shaft : Loosen the screws on the jumper-protecting door and open the door.Set the audio unit location. See the printed label under the door for the one-cabin configuration. To set the cabin 2 audio unit, insert the jumper to the shaft bottom position (left jumper) and then select the audio unit position with the other jumper (cabin 2 roof, cabin 2, under cabin 2).Close the door and tighten the screw.  Jumper Configuration is Important to use the shaft unit as the top car unit and Pit Units ! Target Schematic Diagram:  Preliminary Setup and Electrical System Installation: Lift 8 Central Unit: Installation: Mount the Lift8 Central Unit firmly to a wall or cabinet where the power cable can reach 240v outlet.  Mount the Lift Audio unit appropriately on the lift car C.O.P. and fix the Fireman’s Unit in the architrave alongside the designated Fireman’s lift landing doors at the FSAL level.  Lift8 uses 2-wire bus technology and so two wires must be dedicated in the traveling cables to connect the lift car audio unit and similarly two wires (not supplied) must be run down from the Lift8 Central Unit to the FSAL to connect the Fireman’s audio unit, and finally the machine room audio unit should be connected via 2-wires (not supplied) to the Lift 8 Central unit as follows: Rechargeable Battery Connection and State Check: Keep the CU disconnected from the mains Loosen the three screws on the upper cover of the CU.Move the upper cover of the CU in such a way that you can remove it. Proceed with caution while removing the cover: be careful about the drain wire connecting the cover with the CU bottom part. Do not disconnect the wire unless there is a reason to do so!  Interconnect the rechargeable batteries, but do not connect them to the motherboard.  Plug the CU supply cable into a 230 V socket. Every step contains screen from web interface and brief description of configuration.    Configuration of 2N Lift8  Open Lift8 tool and go to section Configuration->Parameters->Network Settings. Fill in IP address, mask and gateway for your VOIP module. SIP server is IP address of the OfficeRoute. Login and password will be created in the next steps.   Now open web interface of the OfficeRoute and go to section Telephony services->SIP Proxy and click on “Switch SIP Proxy on“.   Now go to section User Management->Users and press + button in the low right corner.   Now create user, fill in username and password (these credentials will be used in the first step). Also fill in the line number, it is recommended to use the same for all the fields. E.g. 224 for password, 224 for username and so on. Once you will finish press save in the low right corner.
