Say Goodbye to the 2N® IP Vario, the World’s First IP Intercom

The first IP intercom in the world – the 2N® IP Vario – had a great run. It sold in huge numbers, kick-started a global boom of IP intercom technology, and helped make 2N what we are today.

However, more and more, we’re seeing an increased demand for IP intercoms such as the 2N® IP Verso 2.0 – which simply offers more options and a huge range of advanced features.

So, it’s time to say goodbye and make way for new technology!

Replacement IP intercoms

For projects that require just one button and classic features, the 2N® IP Solo is a great choice.

For more demanding projects, go for the 2N® IP Verso 2.0. It has a modular design (choose from a range of modules and build it according to your needs) plus some really great advanced features such as mobile access powered by WaveKey plus PIN, RFID & QR code access for flexibility in projects where mobile can’t be the only option. It also features a Full HD camera which is a feature that’s becoming more and more in demand nowadays in both residential and commercial environments.

What happens now?

The 2N® IP Vario will be discontinued gradually – meaning it will continue to be sold until it is out of stock and before the final order date (shown in the table at the end of the page). If there are changes in component stock levels, be aware that the final order date will no longer apply.

Please note that a sudden and unforeseen increase in demand can cause the product to be out of stock before the final order date.

We’re also replacing selected 2N Access Unit 2.0 and 2N® IP Verso access control readers for newer versions

We’re also discontinuing selected 2N® Access Unit 2.0 and 2N® IP Verso access control readers, but we will transition smoothly to their successors. The new versions will provide the same features but will also support our encryption technology 2N® PICard.
