Milestone XProtect - Alarm event from 2N device on Milestone XProtect

Our 2N Access Units, 2N IP Intercoms and 2N Access Commander via 2N Plugin for XProtect Access integration for XProtect Access tool can be part of it and it is also possible to configure an Alarm event in the Milestone XProtect Smart Client such as door opening, door forced open, tamper switch activated, or other actions.
Prerequisites

2N Access Commander 3.3.0

2N Access Unit or 2N IP Intercom connected to the 2N Access Commander
- Configured Milestone XProtect with 2N Access Commander via 2N Plugin for XProtect Access integration

Configuration steps
Device Event Configuration

After successfully adding a device to the Access Commander and synchronizing the devices with Milestone via a plugin, add the desired event:

Select the Access Control (1) tab and the Access Commander (2)

On the bottom of the screen, click on the Access Control Settings (3)

Lastly enable the selected event and configure it as an Alarm (4)

After finishing the setting up the events save the configuration

Rules and Events Configuration
- You can assign a custom rule which triggers an action, based upon an event:

Go under Rules and Events (1) in the Milestone XProtect Management Client

Right-click on the Rules tab on top and then select Add Rule (2)

Event can be configured by selecting the desired rule type (3)

Click on the highlighted link (4)

Then select the desired Access Control Event (5)

Select the desired 2N Units from the Sources list (6)

Click Add (7) to import the device into the Selected list (8)

Set up the performed action, in this case Start recording on an assigned device (9)
- Click "OK" and "Next"

Then set up the action duration or stop action
