The 2N Network Scanner is a simple, freely available application for locating 2N devices in the network. After searching the network, the application shows the type, firmware version and IP address of all intercoms found on a chart. This simplifies the administration and installation of intercom systems. Locating 2N devices After you run the software, it will scan connected networks and provide you with list of detected 2N devices. If you need to rescan connected networks, please click on File - Refresh. Or by right clicking on one device and choosing the Refresh option. Changing IP settings of a detected 2N device Right click on the device and choose the Config option.If the device is grayed out and you can´t see the Config option,then the device does not support changing IP settings via 2N Network Scanner. In configuration, you can change between DHCP and static IP settings.You need to confirm changes by entering a password used for the Admin user. Browsing the web configuration of the device Double click on the detected device to browse its web configuration. Or by right clicking on the device and choosing the Browse... option. Filtering search results You have the option to filter search results by typing into the filter box.You can filter for IP address, serial number, display name or firmware version.

2N 2Wire is a set of two convertor units that lets you connect any IP device installed at locations with no IP infrastructure to your network. Connect the device, such as an IP intercom, to one unit and a switch to the other unit. Then connect both convertor units to each other using the existing analogue wiring. This means you can connect an intercom to several indoor stations as well as an IP camera.The pairing procedure must be proceeded first.    Basic installation      Install 2N 2Wire leader unit where your Ethernet cable ends and 2 wire cabling begins, plug in them.Do not connect 2N 2Wire units to PoE ports. If you don't have any non-PoE ports available, make sure to disable PoE on the port you're going to connect 2N 2Wire to.    Install 2N 2Wire follower unit where you need to convert 2 wire cable back to Ethernet at a remote location. Please observe polarity of the 2 wires. Connect the provided power supply to the leader unit.  Either of the units can be leader or follower.Leader unit is the one with connected power supply while follower is powered via 2 wires.  Blue Power LED indicators should indicate that both units are powered.      Use case scenarios  Single leader & Single follower      This is the simplest configuration and works straight out of the box.Just make sure you connect the 2 wires correctly to each adapter. Positive to positive & negative to negative.      Single leader & multiple followers This works straight out of the box as well.Multiple followers can be wired into a single leader, max. 3 followers can be connected to a leader.Again make sure to connect the 2 wire correctly to each adapter. Multiple leaders & Multiple followers If this configuration is required and you are installing multiple leader adapters on to a single network, it is very important to perform the pairing procedure (described below the pictures),otherwise you may experience network conflict issues.        The pairing procedure All units are in join mode. They will find each other and establish basic level encrypted communication.To use more leaders in the same network, we must return the units to an un-joined mode and then join them again.In case of adding another unit (e.g. as a replacement), you must repeat all the procedure again.Un-joining mode  Connect the power supply to the leader and connect the follower via the 2 wire connection.Do not connect them to the network or the IP device yet.Press and hold the ‘Grp’ button for 10 seconds, until you see all lights on the adapter go off.Then you should see only the power light illuminated.   Joining modeIn a single leader & single follower joining scenario, it doesn't matter which unit you put into this mode first.If you have multiple followers connected to a single leader, then you must connect all followers via the 2Wire connection to the leader first, then run individual joining procedures for each connected follower. To do this you must initiate the joining mode on the leader first and then the first follower. Then repeat this for each follower connected to the leader.         Connect the power supply to the leader and connect the follower via the 2 wire connection.Do not connect them to the network or the IP device yet.Press and hold the ‘Grp’ button for 2 seconds.After release, the ‘PoE’ light will begin steadily blinkingletting you know that the adapter is in ‘seek’ mode and is looking for another adapter to pair to.Once an adapter has found another adapter to pair to the ‘TWP LED’ will become static, letting you know pairing is complete.

2N Fortis deployment with 2N Access Commander and Fortis Commander

This FAQ article describes the initialisation and deployment of 2N Fortis Cylinders and Handles (also known as 2N Electronic locks) and configuration with 2N Access Commander.  This solution has the following prerequisites:    2N Access Commander version 3.5+At least one 2N OS device running FW version 2.50+ or 3.0+ or later, with a compatible RFID card reader (MIFARE ® DESFire® EV1/EV2/EV3 compatible) connected to the 2N Access Commander as well.For the configuration, the External RFID Card Reader 125kHz + 13.56MHz with NFC (USB) (part numbers 9137424E or 9137421E ) and the External USB driver (1.8.0 or higher) are required. It is also required to have a computer (laptop) equipped with Bluetooth and Microsoft Windows OS (recommended version 10+).   Some additional useful information: Supported cards are MIFARE ® DESFire® RFID cards EV1/EV2/EV3.2N provides MIFARE ® DESFire® RFID cards/fobs  EV3 4K (part numbers 11202601 and 11202602).One such 2N RFID access card can be used for access to up to 90 doors with the 2N Electronic locks, depending on the number of time profiles applied. However, the 2N Fortis Cylinders and Handles can be grouped so the 2N RFID access card can be used for more accesses. More information can be found in this FAQ article. If the card memory capacity is exceeded, data writing to the card will fail. A write failure event is recorded in the system access log.    Please make sure you have the External RFID Card Reader connected, the 2N Driver for External USB Readers installed, and set up with at least the following settings:      Where are credentials stored?  Unlike 2N OS IP devices, where access credentials are stored in the device, credentials for access are stored in MIFARE ® DESFire® cards as a list of allowed handles or cylinders.   How are the access rights updates made?  Information on user cards is updated by scanning the card on an RFID reader on a 2N OS device that the card is authorised for; therefore, at least one 2N OS device with a compatible RFID reader must be used.  To update information on cards, users must be authorized for that particular 2N OS device.    Table of article's content: Configuration of 2N Access Commander for 2N Electronic locks Configuring  2N Fortis devices in 2N Access Commander Configure each of 2N Electronic locks in your installation 2N Fortis Commander configuration Allowing an access to each lock in 2N Access Commander Program user cards and assign them to users Program additional maintenance cards Erase programmed card   Configuration of 2N Access Commander for 2N Electronic locks Go to the "Settings -> Electronic locks" section of the 2N Access Commander's web interface.  If there are no IP devices compatible with 2N electronic locks connected to 2N Access Commander, a message will be shown.     Add a compatible 2N OS IP device to Access Commander When a compatible 2N OS IP device is added to the 2N Access Commander, a message about the device not being configured will be displayed as well. It is because the encryption keys have not been generated in 2N Access Commander yet.  Click on the "Generate keys" button, select and confirm a Main Encryption key and continue by clicking on the "Generate" button. Note that the main encryption key is not visible in the application later on. We recommend making a copy of the selected key and storing it in a safe place.        After generating the key, the message about the 2N OS IP device configuration should disappear, and a message about encryption keys being set up should be shown (if the message about the device's configuration does not disappear, please refresh the page).  Double-check the 2N OS IP device in case the message is still showing up In case the message does not disappear even after a while or refreshing the page, please visit the configuration page of that particular 2N OS device itself and navigate to the section Hardware - Extenders (or Card reader) The Pair button associated to device's RFID reader needs to be greyed out. If it is not, click on it to pair the RFID reader in the device.     If all is set correctly, you shall see a message about encryption keys being set up in 2N Access Commander.     Configuring 2N Fortis devices in 2N Access Commander Now you need to add the 2N Electronic locks as devices to the 2N Access Commander. Initially, you need to add just a list of the names for each 2N Fortis device added.  Add the list of 2N Electronic locks to the 2N Access Commander Go to the "Devices" section, click on the +Device button, select the 2N Electronic lock option, name the lock and click on the Add button.            Add all your 2N Electronic locks and name them to suit their deployment locations or usage. After adding the 2N Electronic locks, it is possible to add the device to the correct zone (can be assigned later, after the lock is fully configured).     After all 2N Electronic locks are added to the 2N Access Commander, in the section "Devices", you can see the 2N electronic locks' status being NOT CONFIGURED.     Configure each of the 2N Electronic locks in your installation To fully configure the 2N Electronic locks with the 2N Access Commander, it is necessary to create a Lock setup & Service RFID card and export a 2N Fortis Commander project file containing a list of all your added 2N Electronic locks in 2N Access Commander, which will be imported into the 2N Fortis Commander software.   Create Lock setup & Service card First, go to the "Settings -> Electronic Locks" section and click on the Create button in the "Maintenance cards" section to create the Lock setup & Service card.     Select the Lock setup & Service option and the card expiration date, and click on Continue.     Place the MIFARE ® DESFire® card (EV1, EV2 or EV3) on the USB card reader and keep it there until the process is complete. You will hear a tone being played first and melody after a short while from the External USB RFID reader, signalling that the card is successfully configured. The pop-up window will disappear as well.     Please make sure you label the card in order to recognise what card it is later.   Export a 2N Fortis Commander project First, set up a password for the 2N Fortis commander project file.       After setting up the password, the option to download the 2N Fortis Commander and the project file will be available. After downloading the project file, please download the 2N Fortis Commander and install it on your computer.    2N Fortis Commander configuration When the 2N Fortis Commander is installed, it is possible to open the project file, which was downloaded from the 2N Access Commander on your computer.  The 2N Fortis Commander will automatically open and will ask for the password, which was created in the 2N Access Commander before the option for downloading the project file was available.      Or it is possible to open the installed 2N Fortis Commander software and open the project file which was downloaded from the 2N Access Commander by selecting the "Open project" option.     After selecting the project file, you will be asked for the password, which was created in the 2N Access Commander before the option for downloading the project file was available.     Now it is necessary to add the 2N Fortis electronic locks to the 2N Fortis Commander by connecting them to the 2N Fortis electronic locks.  Tap the service card to the electronic lock to enable the pairing mode. The lights on the 2N Fortis Cylinder or handle will be blinking with a blue light.  Pairing uses Bluetooth. Keep your laptop close to the 2N Fortis Cylinder/Handle throughout the pairing process. Service cards can be created for your project in the Access Commander (Settings > Electronic Locks > Maintenance cards) section of the 2N Access Commander.        Once the 2N Fortis Lock/Handle is paired and connected with the computer, it is possible to see the details about the device.  Now it is necessary to assign the connected 2N Fortis Handle/Cylinder to the device that was created in the 2N Access Commander. based on your preference.  Click on the "Assign" button, select the device from the list of 2N Fortis devices from the 2N Access Commander and confirm it.       After assigning the lock, the status will change to "Lock assigned", and it is possible to make adjustments (more can be found in this FAQ article).  When the 2N Fortis device is assigned and configured, you can disconnect from the 2N Fortis device.     After disconnecting, you can see a list of configured and assigned 2N Fortis devices.     To pair them with the 2N Access Commander, simply close the project and upload the same project file back to the 2N Access Commander. All changes in the 2N Fortis Commander are saved after every action.            After importing the 2N Fortis Commander file into the 2N Access Commander, the 2N Electronic locks should be shown as Configured in the "Devices" section    Allowing an acces to each lock in the 2N Access Commander Add 2N electronic locks to zones You can assign a Zone to the device if you have not done so before, and continue by assigning cards to users.       Program user cards and assign them to users When programming cards for users once the card is read in user's detail it has to be initialized specifically for 2N Electronic locks Place the MIFARE ® DESFire® card (EV1, EV2 or EV3) on the USB card reader and keep it there until the process is complete. You will hear a tone being played first and melody after short while from the External USB RFID reader signalling the card is successfully configured. The pop-up up window will disappear as well.   Do not forget to add the user to Groups.  HINT: The Zone has to be connected with Group of Users via Access Rules in 2N Access Commander in order to allow access.  Program additional maintenance cards Once a project in 2N Access Commander is generated, you can create additional Maintenance cards and select the expiration date of the card.  Please make sure you label the card in order to recognise what card it is later.   Lock setup & Service Used for switching locks to service mode and performing maintenance. Supports both factory default encryption keys (for new locks) and installation keys (for ongoing service).  Battery card This card is used for already programmed 2N Electronic Cylinders in the same 2N Access Commander project to remove the battery cover. You can check the 2N YouTube channel for a video about how to operate the Battery card.  Dissassembly card This card is used for already programmed 2N Electronic Cylinders in the same 2N Access Commander project to fix it to or remove it from the cylinder in the door.  You can check the 2N YouTube channel for a video about how to operate the Assembly/Disassembly card.    Erase a programmed card Programmed cards for 2N Electronic Locks can be erased in the "Settings - Electronic locks" section of 2N Access Commander.  Place the MIFARE ® DESFire® card (EV1, EV2 or EV3) on the USB card reader and keep it there until the process is complete. You will hear a tone being played first and melody after a short while from the External USB RFID reader, signalling that the card is successfully erased.

2N IP audio unit can not connect to the 2N&#174; IP Audio Manager - what could be the reason?

There could be several reasons, why 2N IP audio device: 2N® Net Audio Decoder / 2N® Net Audio Decoder Lite / 2N® Net Mic / 2N® Net Audio Encoder is not connected to the 2N® IP Audio Manager : 1. In factory default IP audio device obtain IP address automatically (DHCP client is ON).    CAUTION even if other devices in the network obtain IP address automatically, 2N IP audio unit does not have to due to the restrictions set by the IT department in the network. This setting automatically assigns IP addresses only to known/registered devices in the network based on their MAC addresses!  In case device did not obtain IP address automatically, go to menu Administrator > Net Audio device scanner . Displayed IP address in field DHCP would be: 0.0.0.0 (see picture below).For more details contact your IT department. In this case it could be MAC address restriction in the network. Provide MAC address of the device to your IT department and they will register it and allow automatic assignment of the IP addresses.Second option is to turn the DHCP client OFF and setup IP address manually. In this case it is necessary to know some free IP address which can be used for 2N® Net Audio Decoder unit in the network. It means that this IP address (the one you would like to use) is not assigned to any other IP device in the network (you can use ping command to check it). Do not forget to set up the IP mask = subnet of the network.Manual settings could look like this: IP address: 192.168.1.151 IP mask: 255.255.255.0   2. Firewall can also block connection of the unit to the 2N® IP Audio Manager   Do you have firewall switched ON? It can cause that if 2N® Net Audio Decoder unit disconnects from the server and then tries to connect again via the same port, firewall (eg, ESET Smart Security) will not let it go through. This is not the common issue but it could be one of the reason why you cannot see 2N® Net Audio Decoder units in menu Destinations & Zones.   Picture below shows the situation when the network automatically assigns IP addresses (there is DHCP server in the network) but the device (e.g. 2N® Net Audio Decoder unit is not recognized = IT department does not know its MAC address). In this case IP address for 2N® Net Audio Decoder unit would not be automatically assigned .  Picture below shows an example of manually assigned IP address and IP mask,when the DHCP client has been switched OFF:     3. Password for authorization is used: IP audio device authentication to the Server / Server authentication to the IP audio device.   IP audio device is not connected to the 2N® IP Audio Manager even all parameters as: IP address, domain, connection mode are set-up correctly? Most probably you have previously used password for device/server authorization.        To be sure, there is authentication password used. You would need to connect via Telnet to already connected unit to the 2N® IP Audio Manager. For security reason it is needed to "Enable telnet" connection in menu Destinations & Zones. Click on the unit which is already connected and in its parameters check option "Enable telnet". 2N IP Eye issue - How to enable 2N IP Eye in Windows firewall?

If you have installed 2N IP Eye software in your computer and you can not see a popup window (with video from 2N IP Intercoms) at the time of an incoming call, the problem most likely resides in the firewall settings of your computer. In your Windows installation, go to section "Control Panel -> Windows Firewall" and click on "Advanced settings" as shown in the picture below.  On the left side of this window choose "Inbound Rules" and in the list of programs find 2N IP Eye. If there is a red icon, 2N IP Eye application is blocked by firewall and you have to change it manually.  So make a double click on this "Rule" and in "General" tab set the parameter Action to "Allow the connection". Then confirm those changes by "OK" button.  Do this change for both 2N® IP Eye rules. Then you should see that the icon changed according to the picture below.   As a last step do not forget to restart your computer! Otherwise the changes may not apply.  Now the Windows firewall is set properly and 2N IP Eye window should popup without any problems.

Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   Prerequisities 2N OS device (IP intercom, answering unit, or access unit) Internet connectivity for the 2N OS device in case of the online upgrade method   Feature properties The firmware upgrade does not delete your current configuration, but we recommend saving a backup configuration before starting. However, the process updates the configuration, which may render it incompatible with previous firmware versions.  You can select from online and offline upgrade method. 2N OS device also checks the firmware file to prevent upload of a wrong or corrupted file.     Click here for instructions for firmware 3.0 and newer. IP camera can be placed for example behind the front door as well as somewhere outside the building. This is very useful because you can check if the calling person is there alone, if he/she already enters the building, if there is some intruder next to him/her, etc. It is possible to specify which picture will be the first one that you see when somebody calls from the intercom – would it be a picture from internal camera or from external camera? Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   This FAQ describes how to add access credentials to 2N IP intercoms and Access Units. These scenarios can be used on following devices:  2N IP Verso  2N IP Vario  2N IP Base  2N IP Force  2N IP Style  2N Access Unit  2N Access Unit 2.0  2N Access Unit M     RFID card access To add a new RFID card to the unit, you need to first find the ID of the card. Please put the card on the reader and then see the unit's log in Status -> Events. You will see the event "CardEntered", you need to see the "uid" parameter. Scroll to the right and copy it:   Now please go to Directory -> Users. You can either create a new user (1) or edit an existing one (2):  In User details, go to User Cards and paste the card ID here:  Now the RFID card access has been created.   Saving a new RFID card's ID can be also done with 2N USB RFID reader. A driver is needed for this device, more info is here. When the driver is installed, you can start scanning from the reader by clicking the button next to the field for Card ID.       Fingerprint access To setup a fingerprint access, go to Directory -> Users -> select User -> User Fingerprints -> click on one of the highlighted buttons. Left one is for assignment via 2N External Fingerprint reader. Right one is for assignment via reader module mounted on a unit:  Now select the finger you want to use and click Scan Finger:  Now you need to scan it 3 times and save it:  Now you can choose what this fingerprint will be used for by clicking on the highlighted button:  By default, Open door option is selected. Silent Alarm option is for triggering a silent alarm when this finger is scanned. F1 and F2 Automation option is for use in Automation scenarios. After you set the correct function, click Save and Quit.   PIN code access There are several ways of adding a PIN code access to the device:  1) The PIN code is associated with the respective Switch In this case, when the correct PIN is entered, unit will not show which User activated the switch, it will just show that the correct PIN was entered and the switch was activated. You can set this in Hardware -> Switches -> (for example) Switch 1 -> Activation Codes. You will also need to make sure that Keypad, DTMF or Keypad only option is active. After you enter the code, click Save:    2) The PIN code is associated with a User In this case, using a PIN code will generate an Event in the unit that will inform which User's PIN code was used. In this scenario, each User has their own PIN code(s). To configure this, go to Directory -> Users -> select the User -> User Codes:  PIN Code option - this PIN code will activate a Switch that is associated with Door (in Hardware -> Switches). Good for scenarios where each User needs their own PIN code and they need to control just one Switch. Switch codes - these codes are associated with respective Switch. User can control each Switch individually and those PIN codes are associated with this User only. The fields for codes here are greyed out if the respective Switch is not enabled. You can enable a Switch in Hardware -> Switches.    QR code To be able to use QR codes for authentication, you need to first enable this function, you can do so in Services -> Access Control -> Entry rules -> QR code reading:  To create a new QR code credential, go to Directory -> Users -> select a User -> User Codes:   PIN Code - this QR code is associated with a Switch that is assigned to Door, in Hardware -> Switches section  Switch codes - these codes are associated with respective Switch  You can enter numeric code with at least 10 digits and then click the button with QR symbol next to the field for entering the code. This will show you a QR code representing the digits entered:  You can download the image with QR code with the first button. Generate button will generate a new code. Apply Code will close the window and fill in the field for the code with the last generated code. 2N IP Intercoms - IP Address retrieval You have to know your intercom IP address to log in to the integrated web server. Upon purchase or factory reset, the device is set to the dynamic IP address mode – it retrieves the IP address automatically if there is a properly configured DHCP server in the LAN. If no DHCP is available, you can operate it in the static IP address mode.    You can retrieve the IP address by our 2N® Network Scanner 2N® Network Scanner - Locating 2N devices in the network   Or you can let the intercom tell you the IP address by itself (guided in this article).   Prerequisities 2N IP Intercom connected to your local network. Possibility to reboot the device.   How to retrieve the IP address by the inbuilt speaker Reboot the 2N IP Intercom (disconnect it from the power supply and reconnect again) Once the device is booted (you can hear the second sound signal), do the specific procedure within 30 seconds described later for each IP intercom model. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   You've got a 2N IP intercom and would like to integrate it with your NVR or VMS systems. Your first choice would usually be to use ONVIF but this requires the GOLD license. Or maybe you'd just like to quickly take a look who's in front of your intercom from your web browser?   For cases like these, you can view the camera feed using HTTP API   Prerequisites 2N IP intercom with the latest firmware, equipped with a cameraNo additional license is required.   HTTP API setup Access the camera feed securely, in section Services - HTTP API, keep the Secure (TLS) connection and Digest authentication.    Then choose an Account, enable it, pick a Username and Password combination according to your preferences and in User Privileges enable Camera Access.    How to view the camera feed Enter the following string into any of the following programs and replace IP_address with your intercom's respective IP address.https://IP_address/api/camera/snapshot?width=1280&height=960&fps=15    You can adjust the following image parameters to save on bandwidth:https://192.168.1.100/api/camera/snapshot?width=1280&height=960&fps=15Width and Height define image resolution in pixels, 1280×960px is the maximum.FPS defines how many frames per second the stream will have, the maximum is 15.  If you're getting poor framerate or would like to save on bandwidth while keeping high resolution and framerate, you can change the default JPEG compression quality down to 50.    Where to view the camera feed Web browserThe easiest way to view the camera feed would be from your web browser. Just enter the above string into your web browser's search field. You'll be asked to enter the HTTP API Account credentials you filled in previously. Shortly after, the camera feed appears in your web browser.     VLC media playerVLC media player can open various media formats, one of which are network streams.Because VLC does not support digest authentication, at first we must go to the IP intercom web interface and change the Camera API authentication to Basic.    Now in VLC, go to "Media - Open Network Stream".  The following window opens, enter the above mentioned string.  If the IP intercom still has the self-signed HTTPS certificate, the following warning can be shown. To continue please view certificate and accept.   Now you should be asked to enter the HTTP API Account credentials you filled in previously.If you see some error message instead, close the message and repeat the previous steps.     NVR and VMS systemsThe same string would get you image in any NVR or VMS system that supports it.

Introduction  Since FW v2.35, visitors can now see the receptionist they’re calling directly on the display of  2N IP Style  . It is   ideal for receptions   and remotely managed info/SOS points; it’s also   a great feature for the hearing impaired   as they can communicate using sign language. Please note that the person on the other side of the call must have a compatible device with camera: 2N IP Phone D7A or another 2N IP Style are good options.     Configuration    The configuration of bi-directional video function is very simple, you just need to log in to 2N IP Style's web interface and navigate to Calling → General Settings → Enable Incoming Video as displayed below:        Additional settings include the option to change Incoming Video's Aspect Ratio which can increase the size of incoming video on 2N IP Style's screen. Most phones have the option to disable the the PIN in their settings.Here is an example from a Samsung phone. If you are not sure how to do it, please consult manual of your cell phone.      Registering to LTE network After inserting the SIM card to the 2N LTE Verso, you can observe behavior of  the red LED   placed under the Main Quick Dial Button to verify the status of the device.  Meanings of different signals are described in following table:   LED behavior  Meaning  Note  Diode is flashing after boot up  2N LTE Verso is connecting to the network  This is normal behavior.  Diode is off  2N LTE Verso is connected to the data network     Diode is illuminated for 5 seconds  SIM card error (SIM not inserted, PIN request enable or no active data service)  When this 5s timeout is over, another connection attempt is made and the LED starts flashing again.  Diode is flashing only  The LTE signal is insufficient  Check the area LTE signal coverage and antenna connection. Alternatively, use an appropriately placed external antenna. Send SMS in format state pwd= and intercom will return information about network and signal.       Registering the 2N LTE Verso to My2N cloud – 2N Mobile Video service Enter your My2N account, go to the Site you want to register the 2N LTE Verso, and follow these steps:  You can add the 2N IP intercom by clicking on the Devices button and then the ADD DEVICE button.   Select 2N Device.   In a new opened window, please fill in details about your 2N IP intercom.  Fill in the intercom's name (defined by your requirements in order to easily identify this device).  Fill in this device's serial number from the paper card that belongs to the device.  Fill in the security code from the same paper card.   You can find the Serial Number and My2N Security Code enclosed it the package.   The intercom will be seen as registered with missing call settings in a couple of minutes.    Meanwhile you can go ahead and add a device (or several) to be called when the button is pressed. Just click on the LTE Verso, device detail will open and then click on Call settings.    Now, you can make a call towards the device by pressing the button. With this, you have finished the basic set up.     Entering the 2N LTE Verso's 2N Remote Configuration service    2N’s free Remote Configuration enables you to fully configure 2N IP and LTE intercoms and Access Units using the   My2N   portal.   Accessing the intercom’s configuration interface only requires an Internet connection.       To enter the Remote configuration of your LTE Verso, go to the device detail and then click 2N Remote Configuration Services:  Then click Open Configuration:   Now your browser opens a new tab with LTE Verso's web interface. You can now log in and fully configure your intercom.      Keep in mind that users created in My2N and Button settings are synchronized with the My2N cloud and changes of these has to be made inside of the My2N account.

Info   This FAQ describes, how you can configure 2N VoiceBlue Next gateway (You can also use 2N VoiceBlue Max, 2N BRI Lite/Enterprise or 2N StarGate and 2N BlueTower as the configuration is basically the same) together with 2N IP intercoms and 2N Access Unit for the school scenario. You can configure the intercom to send SMS message through the gateway as a confirmation that a student has arrived to school. Once student will swipe the card to open the door, SMS to a parent cellphone is sent. Below you can find a step by step configuration for both devices. FW version of 2N IP Intercom has to be v2.16 or higher and for 2N VoiceBlue Next has to be at least v1.26.3. Please keep in mind that even when you have multiple entrances with intercoms, you still need only one gateway!            How to configure 2N VoiceBlue Next  Note: As the very first step please make sure that the license for Email2SMS feature is uploaded into your 2N VoiceBlue Next gateway. This license is sold as a package for 10 users (you can buy licence for 10, 20, 30, etc. users) and you can have up to 200 licensed users in the gateway. If you want to verify whether you have the correct license uploaded in your gateway, go to section "Management -> License key". You should see the licenses called SMSE and SMSUx and in the "Active" row. SMSE indicates that Email2SMS function is enabled and SMSUx indicates number of licensed users where x stands for this number (see the picture below). If there's not a license for Email2SMS (SMSE) then you won't see the "Messaging" on the top menu. For each intercom you need one Email2SMS licence in the gateway!    Configuration steps  Modules grouping In the first step go to section "Messaging –> Modules grouping" and enable SMS server – check the appropriate check-box. Next add GSM modules to SMS groups in order to facilitate incoming/outgoing SMS routing. It can be done based on your requirements e.g. according to the GSM provider, etc. The last step in this section is to assign SMS groups created in the previous step to the User groups if you want to use messaging with different routing rules. The GSM gateway can contain up to 4 User groups and up to 4 SMS groups.      Add User As a next step you need to skip to the section "Messaging –> Users", click on the "Add" button and create new SMS user(s) who will send and receive SMS messages. There are several parameters in this section which have to be set. You need to select the communication protocol for SMS processing (SMTP/POP3) and assign the user to User group. Also do not forget to define the Login name (without domain) and Password to log into the SMS server via your e–mail client. You can see all parameters from this section in the picture below where was created user "Helios IP" with the login "SMS" and password "Helios". Once you fill in all parameters, click on the "OK" button. The user will be added and after that you have to make one more click to the "Save settings" button in the bottom right corner of the page (blue circle label in the picture).    General settings Set the parameters of domain in the "Messaging –> User Group –> General settings" sub-menu. The domain is automatically assigned to the user´s login in the selected User group and it represents the user´s e–mail address. In this section you can also define some parameters for POP3 and SMTP such as subject of email, maximum SMS per email, next you can add “From” field as well as “Subject” to SMS (see the picture below). In our example (in the previous step) a new user was created with login name "SMS". In this section we will set domain as: gateway.com. Then the e-mail address of the user with rights to access the SMS server will be SMS@gateway.com. The “@” character is completed automatically and it is not included in the domain´s field.    Outgoing SMS routing As a last step you need to specify routing rules for outgoing SMS – it is done in the "Messaging –> User Group –> Outgoing SMS routing" menu where you click on the "Add" button. In this section you will specify mainly these parameters:  Message to SMS group – the SMS group via which the outgoing SMS will be routed  Action type – define how to process outgoing SMS. You can choose from two options: Submit from user (SMS can be sent only from selected users) or Submit from all users (enable sending SMS from all the SMS group users).  Submit from user – choose a user who can send SMS (this is used only if "Submit from user" was selected)  Time limitation - here you can set time limitation for when is the routing active. So for instance you can set this only for morning, when students are arriving to school.  Day limitation - choose days when the routing will be active. For instance only business days when school is opened.  Note: do not forget to enable the SMS server as shown in the first step (there is a check-box)! In the picture below there is shown settings for User Group 1. Messages (emails) from all users in this User group are routed via SMS group 1. It means that these emails will be transferred to SMS and sent only via GSM modules assigned to SMS group 1. It is GSM module 2 in our example (as you can see in the picture from step 1).      How to configure 2N IP intercoms Note: Please keep in mind that Enhanced integration (up to v2.35) or Gold (v2.35 onwards) license is needed in order to use email features!  Configuration steps  Add user firmware v2.24.0 and later:Go to section "Directory->Users" choose a user or create a new one. Fill "Name" (use name of the student, it will be used in the SMS), "E-mail" (email has to be in format phone_number@domain, so in our case 721642053@gateway.com for instance, number is phone number of the parents cell phone), "Card ID" (fill ID of the students card or fob).      SMTP configuration Go to section "Services->E-mail->SMTP" and check "SMTP E-Mail Service Enabled". Then fill "Server Address" (IP address of the gateway) if you did not change port in the gateway, then leave it as it is - port 25. Then fill "Username" and "Password", use credentials you used for user you created in the gateway, in case of Username you have to use domain as well. So credentials for this example are SMS@gateway.com/Helios. In the last step fill some email to field "From Address". As you are sending SMS messages in this scenario, it does not matter what you will fill there, you can even fill there address you made up, however this field is mandatory and has to be filled.    SMS configuration Go to section "Services->E-Mail->E-Mail on Access".  Fill administrator e-mail address in the section Send to E-mail Address. In this section set "All Accesses" for "Send E-Mail At". To the field "Body" fill the message you want to send when student arrives to school. You can see example in picture below, we used variables $User$ (this variable will be substituted by name of the student who used the card) and $DateTime$ (this variable will add current time and date to the message). Please find list of available variables below:  $User$ - Called username  $DateTime$ - Current date and time  $AuthId$ - User authentication ID  $DeviceName$ - Intercom identification  Last thing you have to do in this section is uncheck "Attach Snapshot".  If you will swipe valid card now, 2N IP Intercom will send and email to the gateway and it will send SMS message to the predefined cell phone.   Set time on 2N IP intercom Go to section "System->Date & Time", pick the right "Time Zone" and if possible, you can synchronise the intercom with NTP server. If NTP server is not available, then you can synchronise the intercom with your browser by clicking on "Synchronise with browser".     Switch configuration You also need to configure the intercom to open the door once the student swipes a card or fob. Go to section "Hardware->Extenders", find your card reader and again choose on of the switches for "Associated Switch".     Once you will set appropriate switch to be controlled by the card reader, then you can configure the switch itself. Go to section "Hardware->Switches" and pick Switch you choose before. If switch is not enabled, then do so by checking "Switch Enabled". There are three the most important settings for the switch. By "Switch-On Duration" you can define for how long the switch will be activated. "Controlled output" define which physical output will be controlled by the switch, you can choose from available relays or active 12V output. By "Output Type" you can define whether you are using normal locks (Normal) or inverted locks (Inverted).

This guide describes basic steps to configure Peer to Peer communication between 2N IP intercoms and 2N VoiceBlue Next GSM/UMTS gateway to be able to make calls intercom  GSM network. All names and IP addresses are only for this example, please change this information according to your names and IP plan.  Wiring  Connect 2N IP intercom to an IP network, 2N VoiceBlue Next has to be connected to the same IP network.The values in our example:2N IP intercom - 192.168.50.1422N VoiceBlue Next - 192.168.50.66Mobile phone number - 734123456    2N IP intercom settings  You need to specify IP address and subnet mask for your 2N IP intercom.    Select a contact which is mapped for one touch call (e.g. for button #1 on your 2N IP intercom). You need to modify Phone number for this contact according to the desired phone number you would like to call through the GSM gateway (sip:mobile_number@IP_address_of_VBN). In the following picture there is 192.168.50.66 an IP address of 2N VoiceBlue Next and 734123456 is the mobile phone number, so you set: sip:734123456@192.168.50.66.    Set up SIP settings according to the next picture. IP addresses should match to the IP of 2N VoiceBlue Next.    Allow the intercom to automaticaly accept all Incoming calls.     Settings of 2N VoiceBlue Next gateway   You need to specify IP address and subnet mask for your 2N VoiceBlue Next in the menu Ethernet configuration.    In the VoIP parameters check option Send 200 OK on REGISTER request to allow "virtually" register 2N IP intercom to 2N VoiceBlue Next.    The gateway is set to process all outgoing call requests to the GSM network in default, but you also need to define the IP address of the 2N IP intercom in the SIP proxy (GSM->IP): setting in order to process the incoming calls from GSM to the intercom.    In the GSM incoming groups set mode Accept incoming calls + dialtone and DTMF dialing timeout[s]:to 0.     And also set the phone number of the intercom (111) in the List of called numbers. Now you can easily call your mobile phone by pressing the dial button on the intercom and also reach the intercom directly from the mobile phone by calling the SIM card in the gateway. Please note that 2N VoiceBlue Next gateway can handle voice calls only, there is no support for the video stream in this scenario even if your 2N IP intercom intercom is equipped with a camera.

We've added a new feature to 2N IP Style called Custom Scene Crop in firmware version 2.32.8 to allow you to better utilize the ultra wide angle camera of the intercom. This setting can help you remove unnecessary distractions from your intercom's view or simply zoom in a bit to enlarge objects and people in the middle of the frame. The default setting is 30%, but you may opt for a lesser crop if desired. You can find this setting in Hardware>Camera>Internal Camera>Advanced Settings>Custom Scene Crop.   Please note that this setting also limits the capabilities of Pan-Tilt-Zoom (Services>Phone>Video>PTZ>PTZ Mode), this means you can't go beyond the edge of the crop setting used.      The way it works is explained in the image below:   This feature is only available on 2N IP Style on a firmware version 2.32.8 or higher.

You can clear all logs and you can also remove individual log entries by swipe. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   This feature enables you to increase security for example in areas of research laboratories, financial centers, banks, etc. – simply wherever you need to protect something. Thanks to this feature you can specify door that will be opened only if you enclose the RFID card and enter special code in predefined time (both can be done by one person). For higher security you can set that two RFID cards or two specific codes have to be entered (double person identification). This is very good protection against RFID card theft. Authentication with a card and a code can be done via native features, authentication with two cards has to be done via automation as described below. How to set up 2FA on 2N IP Intercoms    Version 2.50 (LTS) or earlier Navigate to the section "Directory -> Users" and choose one of the users. Then you can define a PIN code and a Card ID for the user.  In section "Services -> Access Control-> Entry Rules" you have to set "Card, Code". Now the particular user has to swipe the card and enter the code as well to activate the Switch.                Version 3.0 or later Navigate to the section "Directory" and choose one of the users. The ring time limit can be set in the "Calling -> General Settings -> Outgoing calls -> Ring Time Limit" section of the web interface of the 2N IP intercom. It is set for 32 seconds by default so for example, when the Quick Dial Button 1 is pressed the intercom will dial the 1st number of the assigned user. In case the call is not picked up within 32 seconds, the intercom will start dialing the second number for 32 seconds and so on until the last number is called. You can create automation where you can set different ring time limits for different destinations.   Scenario: There is an intercom at the main entrance of an office building, 1 answering unit at the reception and 2 smartphones with a 2N Mobile Video app that belongs to receptionists. When the Quick Dial Button is pressed we want the intercom to call the answering unit and dial for 30 seconds. If the call is not answered during those 30 seconds, we want the intercom to call 1st receptionist's smartphone and dial for 50 seconds. In case the receptionist does not pick up as well, the intercom will call 2nd receptionist and dial for 30 seconds.    For the scenario and the automation to properly work, the button setting must be empty:        This automation will start calling the first number, after 30 seconds it ends the call, waits for 3 seconds and starts dialling the second number. After 50 seconds the automation ends the call, waits for another 3 seconds and then starts dialling the third number for 30 seconds. After that, the dialling ends. Also, when the call is connected, the automation will stop all delays, which prevents dialling the next numbers.

The scenario is that we would like, after pushing the button on the intercom, make a call to a GSM number (number 1) and if this call is not answered, intercom starts ringing the next number. If this were configured in a standard way, i.e. assigning numbers to the user and using Group calling, intercom would get busy tone when trying to reach the second number. This is caused by limitations of GSM technology — any GSM call takes way longer (few seconds) to hang up. On the other hand, SIP call is hung practically immediately. Therefore there must be added a delay between hanging up the first call and making the second call. This scenario requires to be configured in Automation:      Variables  KeyPressed - defines which key must be pressed to begin the sequence. In this example, Key 1 (first intercom button) is used.  BeginCall 1 - here you can define which GSM number or user must be first called. 123456 is used as an example number in this case. After 30 seconds the condition state is 0 (false) and the intercom won't be allowed to call when the Quick Dial Button 1 is pressed.    You can also create automation for the call to end in case of the ringing or connection state of the call:   How it works: When the Quick Dial Button 1 is pressed the call will be ended only in case of a ringing or connected state of the call.

Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   Securing the door against being open for too long is possible on 2N IP Intercoms . This feature is very useful for buildings with you have doors without handle (only with a knob) and you want to increase the security. It can be useful in banks, financial centers, offices, labs, server rooms and many others. Just imagine that you have door lock connected to one of relays in 2N IP Intercom and also door magnetic contact. The magnetic contact is cut off when the door is open. If that takes longer than the configured time (for example 15 seconds), the 2N IP Intercom will recognize it and will trigger an alarm.    How to set it up?  All necessary steps for settings of this feature are shown in the figures below. You will have to configure one switch, an automation and you will also have to use one INPUT.  It is also required to own a GOLD license for the 2N IP Intercom.   How to configure Switch 1  This switch controls the OUTPUT 1 to which the door lock connected. It is set in Monostable mode which means that after activation of this switch the door is door opened for 5 seconds (it may be changed depending on your specifications). Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   "Lock all" or "Unlock all" features are very useful once you need to activate all switches (lock or unlock - it depends on the settings of switches made in section "Basic settings -> Switch X") connected to 2N IP Intercoms in your network. Just pick a master 2N IP Intercom which will send multicast request to all connected intercoms after you enclose predefined RFID card or enter a specific code from your phone or keypad. This feature is very helpful when there's a fire in the building or when you face any danger inside the building and you need to evacuate all the people. In that case you enclose the card to RFID card reader and all doors will be opened. Lock all and unlock all features can be used especially in schools, factories, offices and other large places where you have many intercoms.   How to set up 2N IP Intercom to send multicast requestAll necessary steps for settings of Lock all feature are shown in the figure below:  The settings above mean that if anybody encloses the RFID card (ID of this card has to be 2800A6FC50) to the card reader then two actions happen simultaneously. During the first action multicast request is sent to all other intercoms (this command is sent to multicast IP address 235.255.255.250: 4433 which is set by default). The second action activates the switch connected to this intercom (this setting is optional and it depends whether you have any switch connected to this 2N IP Intercom). How to set up 2N IP Intercom receiving multicast requestsSettings for all other 2N IP Intercoms which accept multicast requesst and trigger specific action is shown in the picture below. First of all you need to specify the command that will trigger actions – this command has to be the same as the one sent in “MulticastRequest” from the previous figure (accepted in IP address 235.255.255.240:4433 by default). However, if you need your intercom to listen to multiple sources – maybe up to five at once (or send multicast to different addresses), then you will need an Enhanced Integration (up to v2.35) or Gold license (v2.35 onwards), which will allow you to set up the functionality via Automation. Such scenario may be useful, for example, in an area with several multistorey buildings with several departments, where:  the intercoms in the 1st building will listen to multicast at the address 224.1.0.0 and port 11000,   the intercoms in the 2nd building will listen to multicast at the same address (or different – e.g. 224.2.0.0) and port 12000, etc.,   the intercoms on the 1st floor of the 1st building will listen, as well, to the multicast again at the same address (or different – e.g. 224.1.1.0) and port 11100,   the intercoms on the 2nd floor of the 1st building will listen, as well, to the multicast again at the same address (or different – e.g. 224.1.2.0) and port 11200, etc.   the intercoms in the 1st department on the 1st floor of the 1st building will also listen to multicast, e.g. at address 224.1.1.1 and port 11110,   the intercoms in the 2nd department on the 1st floor of the 1st building will also listen to multicast, e.g. at address 224.1.1.2 and port 11120, etc.   and at the same time the intercoms in all buildings, floors and departments will listen to multicast, e.g. at address 224.0.0.0 and port 10000. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   Paging from 2N IP Intercom is a feature that can be used for emergency calls or just for any announcement that will be sent to all other intercoms (or to specific group of intercoms). These devices have to receive multicast stream on predefined multicast IP address and port. Then you just press a button on 2N IP Intercom and you can start talking to other intercoms, play announcements or play any emergency tones (e.g. for evacuation of the building).    How to set up 2N IP Intercom which will send multicast  The settings above mean that if any user presses the quick dial button 5 on the 2N IP Intercom, then the user sound is sent as a multicast request to all other devices. This sound takes 2 seconds. After that period of time you can start talking and 2N IP Intercom will stream this multicast traffic to all devices that are listening on the specific IP address and port (in our example: IP address is 239.0.0.239 and port is 21212). If you want to stop multicast traffic, you just press the quick dial button 5 again but for such behaviour you have to the use two conditions as shown in the figure above.  How to set up receiving on 2N IP IntercomsIf you want to receive a multicast traffic on your 2N IP Intercoms, you have to set specific multicast IP address and port. In our example IP address 239.0.0.239 and port 21212 are used. This setting is shown in the figure below.   As the next step go to the "Services->Automation" section and configure that the 2N IP Intercom will play user sound once it receives a specific multicast request. In our example user sound #2 recorded in the intercom is played.

You need Gold license to use this automation.  Testing scenario  How it works  Firmware & License info   Testing scenario One-time code on keypad. You can use a web browser on your PC or mobile phone to define codes for guests using HTTP commands. When an HTTP command is received, and is recognized, it enables the code to be used once for access. Once the code is entered, the Switch is activated and the condition falls back to False = the code doesn't work the next time. You can reactivate the code by sending the HTTP command again. You can set up to 25 guest codes (6*5*5 objects). This page describes you how to control the 2N IP intercom card reader signalization via an automation function.  2N IP intercom FW & license information    We recommend to use the latest FW version for 2N IP Intercom.  This feature requires firmware v2.26 or newer  You will also need to have either Enhanced Integration or Gold license — this license is necessary for Automation features in general.     Target scenario 2N IP Intercom is integrated into a 3rd party access system, e.g. via wiegand interface, and does not contain any ID cards database. An user swipes his ID card on the card reader and 2N IP intercom sends the ID card information the to the access system, which evaluates whether the access is permitted. If the access is granted, the system sends an HTTP command to the 2N IP intercom to activate a switch and the "valid" signalization on the card reader. If the access is not granted, the access system sends an HTTP command to the 2N IP intercom to activate the "card invalid" signalization on the card reader. If the relevant signalization is not activated on the card reader, the user has no feedback about used card validation.   Please navigate to the intercom web administration — Hardware -> Extenders -> Card Reader and fill in a Module Name.  Please navigate to the intercom web administration — Services -> Automation and create a new automation function.  The automation is based on Action OpenDoor that controls signalization of selected card reader module (fill in the name of the module here). Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   Silent alarm is one of many new features that can be configured in 2N IP Intercoms thanks to the “Automation” feature. This feature is very useful in areas where you could face a dangerous situation – e.g. a thief forces you to open the vault door. This situation can occur mainly in casinos, financial centers, banks, etc. For such cases you can specify an unique code which will be used for opening the door but simultaneously it will trigger another action such as: sending an HTTP command for alarm activation, establishing a call, etc. The most common scenario is that 2N IP Intercom sends an HTTP command to another device. The device processes the command and triggers an alarm in the security room. How to set up Silent alarm on 2N IP Intercom The settings below mean that if anybody wants to unlock the Switch 1 in a standard way he just enters the code 1234 and confirms it with the wildcard (*) button. This setting can be specified directly in the Switch 1 section and it is not necessary to do it in Automation section. But once you will feel threatened, you can enter the code 1235 and confirm it with wildcard (*). In this case you will activate Switch 1 (open the door) and simultaneously you will send an HTTP request to another device with the IP address 192.168.50.172 where you activate the alarm (this device has to accept the HTTP request, process it and do the appropriate action). A thief doesn't know anything about this second action and you can expect that someone will come to help you. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.       Securing the door against unauthorised access can be configured on 2N IP intercoms thanks to the accessories available. First of them is Magnetic door contact (order number 9159012) and the second one is Departure button (order number 9159013). This feature is very useful for buildings where you have doors without a handle (only with a knob) and you're looking to increase the security. It can be used in banks, financial centres, offices, labs, server rooms and many more. Just imagine that you have the door's lock connected to one of the relays in 2N IP intercom and also door magnetic contact and eventually a departure button. If you press the departure button which is placed inside the building (while 2N IP Intercom being outside) or if you authenticate on an inside module of the intercom, then the door will be unlocked and magnetic contact will be cut off. In this case, the door is opened and you can exit the building. If the magnetic contact is cut off but the door is not opened by the 2N IP intercom (nobody has pressed the departure button, swiped the card over RFID reader or used any other method of authorization), then it's most likely an unauthorized access via breaking in. This unauthorized access to the building will trigger an alarm should you set it up.  How to set it up? All necessary steps for settings of this feature are shown in the figures below. You will have to configure one switch, an automation and you will also have to use one input. You will also need to have either Enhanced integration or Gold license — this license is necessary for Automation features in general.   Switch configuration This switch controls the Output 1 to which is door's lock connected. Set in monostable mode, meaning that after activation of this switch the door will remain open for 5 seconds (it may be changed depending on your needs using the Switch-On Duration option).     How to configure Unauthorised Door Open Detection You need to enable the feature Unauthorised Door Open Detection for the specific Switch (in our case for Switch 1) and set which input is the Magnetic door sensor connected to.If you use the Departure (REX) button, you also have to assign an unique input to it.     How to set up the Automation  The settings above mean that if 2N IP Intercom detects logical change in the input from the magnetic lock, it verifies whether the door opening was authorized and if wasn't, the Automation will trigger an alarm sound, or executes any other action such as sending a HTTP command to a security desk, sending an email etc.

TFTP server (e.g. SolarWinds TFTP)         In this document, we will show how to set & schedule firmware and configuration uploading to your intercom via TFTP. In our scenario, we will use the FREE software SolarWinds, but you can choose any TFTP server you like.     TFTP server configuration       SolarWinds TFTP server The configuration of the SolarWinds TFTP is pretty straightforward, you don't even need to do any special configuration and it will work right away.      But you can still make some further configuration:  You can change the location of the root directory (from where the configuration and firmware will be uploaded)    In the root directory, you can create folders for better organisation    You can also improve the security with changing the transfer mode to send only and allow a specific IP range                    Firewall For everything to work properly, you need to create a new inbound rule in your firewall:    Select a rule type "Port"    Select UDP protocol and specify a port 69  Once you create a rule, the TFTP server should be ready and the intercom should be able to connect successfully.                       2N IP Intercom configuration    First of all, you need to find the IP address of your PC, you can use a command line and type "ipconfig":    After you successfully found out your IP address you have to fill it into the IP Intercom in this format: tftp://ip_address:69If you've made folders in your root directory, you need to specify the correct location, otherwise, leave the "/" by default.    At this stage, you can also schedule, how often the intercom will check for any updates. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   Bluetooth is a technology for wireless communication between two devices in a short distance (up to 15 m). It is based on communication between two paired devices for secure authentication. It is possible to use this technology instead of RFID cards. This identification is provided by a unique code of the end-devices that contains this technology, like almost every smartphone these days. There is a direct communication between a smartphone and 2N IP Intercom or 2N Access Unit equipped with Bluetooth module. This communication is secured and based on public and private keys that are exchanged (we use RSA-1028 asymmetric encryption and AES-128 symmetric encryption). If you paired your smartphones by the offline method (not via My2N management platform), we recommended to change the Encryption Keys for Location every 3 months in order to keep a high level of security. If you are using the on-line method via My2N management platform, then the Encryption Keys are changed automatically.   Prerequisites 2N IP Intercom or 2N Access Unit equipped with Bluetooth module,we suggest to use the latest firmware, no additional license is required.Smartphone with enabled Bluetooth and My2N apppaired with 2N IP Intercom or 2N Access Unit by the offline method according to this instructions:Bluetooth Tap in App Mode - how to setup My2n App and use the feature     Changing the Encryption Keys for Location Go to 2N device web interface, section Services - Access Control - WaveKey, and generate the new Encryption Key.  Both the old one and the new one will be available simultaneously, so all authorized apps (which can open doors on that device) will be able to exchange the previous key for new one.It is recommended to keep the old key in device for a few days, till all mobile apps exchange the stored key to match the new one. Each app will do it automatically once it is in close proximity of 2N device with updated location authentication key. After you delete old key, apps which did not get in proximity of 2N device in time will lose their ability to open these doors and mobile phone needs to be paired with 2N device device again.

In order to make calls, the data SIM card without PIN code is required.   You can calculate the amount of used data by using the following equalation:   Where: S = amount of used data (kB)t = time (s)vp = bit rate (kbps) You need to consider how often the intecom will be used, it means that you need to make estimation of the total length of calls per month. Second parameter is bit rate of the video or audio. The total amount of used data can be obtained by using this formula:  Where: S = amount of used data (kB)t = time (s)v1 = bit rate of the audio codec (kbps)v2 = bit rate of the video codec (kbps)   Example User has LTE Verso in front of his house. The intercom is used every day during 1 month. The call length per 1 day is 15s. Lets consider that 1 month is equal to 30 days. In addition, PCMU audio codec is in use and H264 video codec with the bit rate 512 kbps. Bit rate of the PCMU codec is 64 kbps.        Total amount of used data during 1 month is 32.4 MB. Based on this result, the user can choose the lowest data tariff offer from the service provider.   Info: Please note that packet encapsulation (UDP, L3, and L2 headers) and SIP signalization is not considered in this example.  It is strongly recommended to add some reserve (approx 30MB).

The phone number is in format sip:IP_address, where IP address is the local IP address of the D7A phone. Save the settings afterwards.Go to Calling -> SIP1 -> make sure the SIP1 account is enabled. Do not change any other parameters here.Go to Calling -> General Settings -> set the Answering Mode for SIP1 to Automatic or Manual pickup, depending on how you wish to manage the incoming calls to the intercom.Now go to Hardware -> Switches ->Switch 1 -> Activation codes -> copy the code, this code will be used in the D7A's settings for door opening.   LOCAL SIP CALLS: In firmware 150.87.57.3, local calls are disabled by default. If you updated your D7A from an earlier version, or if you are trying to set up SIP calls on a local network, you need to enable IP Calls In and disable Accept SIP Trusted Server in Features > General Information.  To set the door opening button on the In D7A's ongoing call display, go to Features -> Door Phone -> name the Door Phone -> enter 2N IP intercom's IP address into the Phone Number field -> enter the unlock code copied from the intercom's web interface. It is needed to add star (*) behinf the code. In this example it would be "00*". Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   2N IP Style comes pre-configured to work optimally in most scenarios, but there are plenty of settings you can tweak to achieve the best picture for your installation. To access all the settings listed in this guide, please update to the latest FW available, older FWs may lack some settings.  Available settings and default values     Image with default settings This is what the camera image looks like by default. The image is well exposed, but your results may vary depending on where the intercom is installed.     Image with settings fine-tuned to personal taste And this is what you can get with just a few tweaks... Notice the wider field of view and better shadow detail, no WDR needed. Keep in mind that the black corners you see here will be almost invisible in 16:9 aspect ratio but you'll get a wider view.     Available settings Below is a description of each available setting, along with examples showing the lowest (left) and highest (right) settings for that setting, unless otherwise noted.  Brightness (Default: 8) Brightness controls the overall image brightness. This may be useful if the device you are watching the camera feed on has a low brightness display.         Exposure Level (Default: 6) Exposure Level is a camera setting that helps balance the exposure between highlights or shadows. Typical use case for this setting would be to compensate for outdoor light at the end of a dark hallway.    In situations where you need to select a really low Exposure Level to compensate for some bright part in your device's view, try adjusting the Brightness, Contrast and Tone Mapping settings to achieve the exposure you want. Make sure you have the Camera Mode setting set to any of the available Automatic or Outdoor modes, otherwise the camera may be unable to expose for bright areas properly, see the Camera Mode setting for more details.   When neither of these options help you expose highlights and shadows properly, you should try WDR.              Contrast (Default: 9) Contrast reduces or increases the difference between highlights and shadows. Like Brightness, Local Contrast and Tone Mapping settings, this feature is particularly useful for improving image clarity on low-quality displays but at the expense of highlight or shadow detail loss.         Color Saturation (Default: 125) Color Saturation is a post processing filter that mutes or boosts colors.         Camera Mode (Default: Automatic) Camera Mode is a very important setting that changes the exposure characteristics of the camera and allows it to better adapt to indoor or outdoor use with flickering lights of different frequencies – 50 or 60 Hz.   Make sure you only use the indoor camera modes if you don't care about outdoor exposure, otherwise the device won't be able to expose properly for outdoor light and you may end up with something like the image on the left.     Indoor (50 Hz) | Outdoor (50 Hz) / Automatic         Day/Night Mode (Default: Automatic) Day/Night Mode specifies whether the camera switches between normal and infrared view automatically or if it's locked in Day or Night mode. Automatic and Always Night modes allow the device to utilize its IR LED, see below.   You should only force the device to use Always Night mode if the device is installed in a permanently dark place.               IR LED Brightness Level (Default: 100) IR LED Brightness Level configures the maximum infrared LED output level. Leave this setting at its default value to ensure the camera sees well in the dark. If you want to install an additional IR light to illuminate the intercom's surroundings, it should have a wavelength of 850 nm for maximum compatibility with the device's internal IR LED.   Infrared LED can only activate when the Day/Night Mode switches to Night mode, either manually or automatically.       Image Correction (Default: Enabled) Image Correction is a setting that lets you switch between full fisheye and corrected image. Combine this setting with the Custom Image Crop to achieve maximum viewing angles. With corrections turned off, the image may look more natural, and the center of the frame will be larger, albeit bent in traditional fisheye manner.    We recommend selecting the preferred Image Correction setting before fine-tuning the other settings as it affects exposure quite significantly, see images below.   Please note that the following images are zoomed in by the default 30% Custom Image Crop value, reduce this value to reveal more of the image.      disabled | enabled           Custom Image Crop (Default: 30) Custom Image Crop helps you zoom in on what's important, you can choose between 0, 10, 20 and 30% centered crop – the higher the value, the tighter the zoom.      By combining this setting with the Image Correction feature mentioned above, you can achieve all these different views:      Red  rectangle means 0% crop,  green  rectangle means 30% crop. Image Correction disabled | enabled         White Balance (Default: Automatic) Fixed white balance settings are useful in situations where the intercom is installed indoors and lighting doesn't change. This means that the camera does not have to estimate white balance based on the scene but keeps it consistent based on this setting. The default Automatic setting is usually appropriate for any situation.   Indoor settings are tinted blue as they compensate for the yellowness of the interior lighting. Outdoor settings are more yellow because outdoor light is cooler in color.     Indoor - Bulb | Outdoor - Cloudy.         WDR Allowed (Default: Disabled) 2N IP Style has a camera with extremely high dynamic range which reduces the need for separate WDR function. However, there’s still an option to enable WDR for extreme situations such as a dark hallway with bright light at the end of it. WDR combines multiple exposures into one, further extending the already high dynamic range and reducing shadow noise so you can clearly see indoors and outdoors.   Please note that turning on WDR may cause artifacts, especially with fast-moving objects or flickering lights.     Below are uncorrected and uncropped images simulating extreme shadows to show the difference that WDR can make to the overall image exposure. disabled | enabled         Local Contrast (Default: 30) Local contrast determines the level of perceived detail in the image. On one hand, if you lower it too much, the image will start to look like an oil painting, but on the other, if you go overboard with this setting, the image will start to look like a comic book.   This setting can improve image clarity on smaller displays, but we recommend leaving this setting around its default value to ensure balanced image clarity across all types of displays.              Tone Mapping (Default: 50) Tone mapping increases shadow detail by increasing their brightness. Like Brightness, Contrast and Local Contrast, this setting can help you improve image legibility on low quality displays. The default value offers a good balance on most displays and doesn't result in an unnatural image.         Exposure Time Limit (Default: 1/25) Exposure time limit determines the longest possible exposure. This is important at night, when long exposures reduce noise at the expense of motion blur, and conversely, if you use a long shutter speed, you avoid motion blur but increase noise. Card reader gets stuck

This FAQ refers to situation when the card reader (typically 125kHz version, but generally also 13.56MHz) is placed in the intercom and does not react to cards presented, while the rest of the intecom works OK. In any case please make sure you have latest firmware uploaded to the intercom. If the reboot does not help.  Is the card reader module connected properly to the intercom? Can you see the card reader module in Extenders, do you see card reader related menus? For example with Vario or Force, if card reader is connected, you see its electrical outputs in Switches.  Are you using correct cards? A 125kHz card is invisible for 13.56MHz card reader and vice versa. Try with a similar card reader whether you are using correct type of card. Also 125kHz HID Proximity cards need correct settings of HID Prox types as there are multiple variations.  Can you see card events in the Status part of the web interface or syslog? If so, then the card reader actually works, but there might be a problem with signalisation, such as volume turned all the way down.  If the reboot helps, but after some hours the card reader is stuck again, sometimes even after first lock activation.  Interference from another reader - Check if there is any other card reader of the same frequency close by. Especially with 125kHz readers, we do not recommend installing readers closer than 50cm from each other - they might be interfering. If the installation requires multiple readers to be so close, try to shield them from each other using metal back plates or wire grid.  Impulse from the lock - after the lock is deactivated, coil in the lock generates an discharge impulse which is closed via the intercoms output - this can interfere with the card reader.  Rearrange the cables from the lock. Try to lead them as far as possible from the card reader - if the cables are too long, do not store them in the intecom, either make them shorter or place them in the wall box.  Use low consumption locks - they generate smaller discharge peak.  Add a diode to the lock connector with polarity reverse to the door lock power supply from the intercoms output. The diode must not short-circuit the output of the intercom. Adding the diode should not affect the normal operation of the lock, but the discharge is discharged via diode, so it does not get into the intercom at all. The diode should be placed as close as possible to the door lock itself, ideally directly on the connector on the door lock. Diode should be min 1A/1000V, for example types 1N4007 or 1N5408

What are electrical outputs good for Electrical outputs are connectors on electronics of 2N IP Intercoms where you can connect door lock, alarm system, home automation system, signalling light etc. Basically anything that can be controlled by electrical signal. What electrical outputs are available Generally there are two types: Active output - two connectors, either gives no voltage, or it provides voltage. The voltage is from 8 to 14V DC, and can provide up to 700mA current, depending on which intercom. Details about electrical outputs are always mentioned in technical parameters in Installation manual, which is available for each intercom separately. They are also listed below.Relay (passive) output - three connectors, NO normally open, C common, NC normally closed. Two of these three should be used. Always connect the C, and either NO (circuit is disconnected by default) or NC (circuit is connected by default). Make sure that the electric opener/lock is always connected to the intercom's 12V output using a security relay to make the installation safe. The motherboard relay is used for switching lights or other peripherals that do not have to be secured.  It is always recommended that the 2N Security Relay (Part No. 9159010) is used for increased security. What are the switches in the configuration of 2N IP Intercom In terminology of the 2N IP Intercoms, we use Switch as a subject in settings which representents a set of parameters. Switch says what is the PIN code, time profile, which electrical output and some other parameters. You always have four switches, no matter how many actual electrical outputs are on that particular intercom. This makes possible to have multiple switches linked to one electrical outputs. You can thus set two different sets of settings for our output. Examples on using two switches with one electrical output, for example intercom with keypad controlling shop front door: PIN code 1234* opens the door for 5 seconds, so an employee can walk in. Manager of the day has a different code 4321* which triggers the door to be open, until they are closed again with code 4322*. That means, employee can get into the building, but only manager can open the shop in the morning and close it in the evening.The employees code 1234* from above can be limited by a time profile to work one hour before opening hours and one hour after shop hours. Manager would use a different code for opening of the door for himself, which would work 24/7. This email notification could be helpful in case of a missed call from any 2N intercom (except 2N IP Base and 2N IP Uni) because the notification can contain the picture of the person who has been trying to reach you.    2N Intercom SMTP settings   The first step is to configure the SMTP client on the intercom side like on the following figure:   Figure 1: SMTP settings        You can make a test and verify if the setting of the SMTP service is correct by using Email service diagnostics on the same section of the page Services->E-mail->SMTP->Email sending diagnostics.        In this example let's assume that i have assigned the user under the quick dial button of the intercom and i would like to receive the e-mail notification with the picture of the person who has been trying to call me. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.   WaveStore VMS is the linux based platform for video monitoring. WaveStore is distributed as the whole operating system in the .iso file. Tested Wavestore software was in version 5.48.33 with IP Intercom firmware version 2.11.1.  How to configure 2N IP intercom? First notice is about licences to IP intercom. WaveStore needs ONVIF technology and RTSP server support from the intercom side. Both these services are enabled by Enhanced Video licence (order number 9137906). In section Services -> Streaming -> ONVIF/RTSP enable RTSP Server. The default user is already created as admin/2n (Username/Password). Example of the setting this service in the picture bellow.  Following picture represents example of RTSP server settings.    How to setup WaveStore VMS system? After the WaveStore server installation you can connect directly on the server via WaveView software as the part of basic configuration. To enter the setup menu you need to login as the default user: install/a (username/password) and change the View to Setup. As the first step is recommended to configure the network according to local network or use the DHCP server. When the network is properly installed you can connect remotely to this server via the same software. Please keep in mind, after any changes in the setting, allways click on SAVE icon.  New device can be added in Devices section by a simple click on the button: Discover ONVIF Cameras or add Camera manually. Following window with discovered camera will appear. Select the camera in our case it will be 2N IP Intercom and click on the Add IP Capture button. Login screen to the particular camera appears, insert the login parameters.  Now you can see 2N IP Intercom in the Device tree. You need to change type to RTSP instead of ONVIF. In network capture setting set Camera type to Custom. Please check colomn IP address of the camera (whole address without port specification) and mark the option use custom port and fill 554.  After this setting you can see list of paired devices in the table Device Tree. If the camera should be viewable by a common user it has to be enabled. Users can be managed in section Users. The default password "a" is attached to every new created user after first login it will appear the window for changing this password.  So now you can see the video stream from 2N IP Intercom. If you also want to hear the audio you have to add audio track according to picture bellow (blue rectangle).  New Audio track will appear in Device tree under particular device. You have to enable AUDIO and audio Track too, according to pictures bellow.   Last thing is to pair Video and Audio tracks. This can be done in video track settings by a selecting one of Audio link.  After all these settings you can see Video and hear the audio from 2N IP Intercom also from the Main page.

How to connect the external buttons External memory buttons can be connected to the connector for connecting the expansion module. If there is no expansion module connected to the base unit, the external buttons can be connected to the connector on the communicator's motherboard (see figure below). The buttons are connected between the contact "common" and the contacts "button7" to button 14".  Warning Connecting external buttons to the communicator creates a higher risk of damage to the electronics and therefore, if this work is not performed by the manufacturer's service technician, the warranty on the base unit electronics is void. Only button contacts or relay contacts can be connected to the communicator. These contacts must not be connected to any other device or to telephone line, power or ground wires at the same time. The maximum length of the wires leading to the external buttons must not exceed 1 m.

LTE Connection Verification Having connected the power supply, make sure that 2N LTE Verso has been connected to the LTE data network successfully. A red LED (R) located to the left of the BUS connector on the upper board provides basic diagnostics: flashing means connecting, if the LED goes off, the device is connected to the data network. If it is illuminated for 5 seconds, there is a SIM card error (SIM not inserted, PIN request enable or no active data service). When this 5s timeout is over, another connection attempt is made and the LED starts flashing again, i.e. the LED does not shine permanently if there is a problem. If it keeps flashing only, the LTE signal is insufficient. In this case, check the area LTE signal coverage and antenna connection. If the LTE signal is low, use an appropriately placed external antenna (optional accessory, Part No. 9155048). Directory setup This quick guide will show you how to configure your 2N IP Style’s user directory and the ways you can adjust to make it your own.   pre-production firmware used   The firmware used to create this guide was a pre-production beta version of 2.32 for 2N IP Style. Some text in the attached screenshots may not be finished or correct.         User creation Create a new user or edit an existing one.     User information Fill in a name and a phone number in any of the supported syntaxes. Populate the remaining fields as necessary. Users with phone numbers are automatically added to the display, but you may also put them into one or more folders, e.g. Company/Department etc. Optionally, you may also give them an alias by placing them inside a Calling group which may contain multiple users – this may be useful for places like Reception where you need to reach multiple people at once.     User photo With 2N IP Style, each user can have a large photo assigned to them. Click the Photo icon to enter the photo editor. From here you can upload an image via Select File… make sure the picture is in JPEG or PNG format and at least 432×432px. Scale it so that it fits inside the circle and fills the whole square. Should you fail to comply to this, the image might get cropped or moved unexpectedly. Click OK, the photo will be resized and saved into the device.     Directory structure This is directory structure overview. The video preview outside the call can be not compliant to GDPR rules in some scenarios, that is why 2N intercoms now come with a possibility to disable it.    We always recommend to use the latest firmware. No licence is needed for this scenario.   There is a new feature in the intercom since fw version 2.26. You can simply control the video preview and postview streams by the parameter "Enable Video Preview"  You will see the camera icon once you would like to see the video stream while video preview is disabled

The accepted image formats are JPEG and PNG. PNG files allow you to upload images with transparent backgrounds.    GUI Customization (2N Flexi Builder) feature requires a gold license or trial license.      GUI Flexi Builder How to enable and start using 2N Flexi Builder? First, run the feature after logging in to the web interface of the 2N IP Style: System -> Features -> press ‘Start’ (next to the GUI Customization feature)Restart the device after: System -> Maintenance -> press ‘Restart Device’After enabling the feature, simply go to Hardware -> Display -> Click ‘Open UI Builder’ and create your custom layoutOnce ready go to Hardware -> Display -> Display GUI Mode -> change from Standard to Custom. The GUI of IP Style can be customized and used for : Calling by button Directory searchingPIN, QR readingSending HTTP requestsTriggering an automation Template and Background: Click on the edit option at the top/grey page as it is the Main page and secondary pages cannot be converted to the main page. You will be asked to create the template for the GUI and name it. The final image will now be visible on the display, for example under Cards…  …or under a transparent logo, see logo mode in the showcase mode section below for more details.          Showcase Mode setup 2N IP Style contains two brand new showcase modes, logo, address, and date and time:  OFF – the device will always show your root folder  Slideshow – multiple images will be shown in a loop once showcase mode is activated  Logo – your logo will be displayed while idle  Address – your address or some other text will show up while the device sleeps  Date and Time – current date, time, and weather will be shown on the display  This is where you can set the duration after which showcase mode starts automatically.           Slideshow mode   Slideshow mode Slideshow is the default showcase mode, its settings can be found in the Slideshow tab.   The Slideshow tab contains the option to adjust the image-to-image transition time and image uploader. As you can see, there’s already a preloaded image by 2N which you can optionally disable by clicking the eye icon. Your own JPEG or PNG images may be uploaded by clicking the + icon. They should be exactly 800×1280px, larger images will be automatically cropped and adjusted to fit that resolution.  Once you upload a new image it’ll show up in the grid. You can then magnify, delete, or disable it. Playback order can be easily adjusted by drag-and-dropping the images.   Here we swapped custom_background1.jpg for custom_background3.jpg and disabled the default_image.jpg.                  Logo mode Logo mode Logo mode gives you the option to display your company’s logo on the display while the device is idle.  Click the upload icon at the top.    Full screen image or logo with its own background Use this option in situations when you want a dark logo on a bright background. To fill the whole screen in Logo mode, you can use JPEG or PNG images that are at least 800×1280px, larger images will be automatically cropped and adjusted to fit that resolution. Click Select File… and locate the image you’d like to use, then click Upload.     The final image will be shown here.  This is what it looks like on the display.  Logo with transparent background Please note that the logo should be as bright as possible because the background is always darkened, or black if no custom background was uploaded. If you want a dark logo on a bright background, upload a full screen image as shown in previous steps. Click Select File… and locate the image you’d like to use, then click Upload.  If the logo is smaller than 800×1280px then it won’t be enlarged on the display, but it’ll be enlarged to fill the preview here.  This is what it looks like, white logo with transparent background, no custom background.  Alternatively, custom background with white logo on top of it. As you can see, the background is automatically darkened to make the logo clearly visible.               Address mode Address mode Switch to Address mode if you’d like to put your custom text on the display.  You can then enter custom text via the Address tab. The number field uses a large font, the address field uses a smaller one and can be up to three rows long.  Address mode always puts white text on black background as you can see in the preview above and result below.                Date and Time mode Date and Time mode The last showcase mode allows you to display current date, time, and weather info on the display of 2N IP Style.  As shown in the image below, you can customize date and time formats and show weather info; Location is the place from which weather information will be obtained, Location Shown is what will be shown on the display, you may leave this field empty to show Location.
