Introduction to the issue: If the operator does not correctly hang up the alarm call from the elevator car with the character 5 or #, 2N SingleTalk (hereinafter referred to as ST) must recognize the busy tone to automatically end the call. If this busy tone is not according to the ETSI standard, the communication device ST is not able to recognize that the link has been dropped. Consequence: The ST communication device is automatically hung up after the time defined by parameter 912 - Maximum talk time. In most cases, however, by this time the switchboard will mark the telephone line where the ST is connected as non-functional and set the status to "fault". Only the control panel administrator is able to change this status. How to configure confirmation mode First of all you have to add at least one phone number for alarm calls. 2N Lift1 offers up to 6 button memories whose are represented by parameters from 011 up to 016. Please refer to Table of Parameters in User manual for more detailed description of this parameters. Once you will add the phone numbers, then you can configure confirmation for each memory slot. This is represented by parameters from 111 up to 116. Values for this parameter are 1-6 and default value is 1. So in default you always have to confirm alarm call by pressing number 1 on the receiving device! Info This FAQ describes how to make factory reset of 2N Lift1. In previous versions of lift communicators (2N SingleTalk) it was only possible to ask tech. support to reset the password and set the device to default state by one of the parameters in programming menu. 2N Lift1 has a new feature - now it is possible to make factory reset to default state by the user without assistance of 2N tech. support via jumper on PCB of the device. Also it is not possible to reset the password remotely. Below you will find a few steps which are describing how to do that. Factory reset on mainboard V1 Release the screw and take off the front plastic plate of the unit. Once the device will be opened, you can use the configuration jumper marked in the picture below for the reset.7 Now disconnect the device from the line and put the jumper from previous step to the two pins as shown in the picture below. Then connect the device again. After 5 second the device will be reset, if you will turn around the device upside down, you will see LEDs signalling the reset. Once the device is reset, you can disconnect it again and move the jumper to its original position. Now you can access programming menu of the device with default password. Troubleshooting - How to troubleshoot an issue on 2N Lift products (ST)

2N SingleTalk = ST 2N LiftNet = LN Necessary tools to have: Voltmeter Analogue phone Spare unit for the comparison test. Tested reliable unit! Replacement unit to exchange. In case of HW issue! Interception device – AZUCHO. To listen the behavior of analogue line (recommended) In case of LN, PC with newest service tool is required (recommended) Most common issues during installations: Incoming call to ST signal busy tone: ST does not have enough power to hang up. Minimum off-hook power is 22V/15mA. Check by voltmeter! Check position jumper of „Alarm input“. In case of negation (Pic. 1, ST will immediately initiate alarm call even if there is no number set. “Alarm button” is then in NC (normally closed) mode. Incoming call to ST/LN signal dialing tone but unit does not pick up: Verify dial tone cadence of particular analogue line - AZUCHO. Factory setting will detect only dial tone with conditions: Tone must be longer then 500ms and pause must be in range 1000ms to 6000ms. In case of LN restart the central unit. If the fault persists, then contact 2N technical support! Incoming call to ST/LN call is picked up, but DTMF tones do not open the programming menu. Analogue line has some disturbance. This will distort those DTMF tones which are not recognized by DTMF detector. Use interception device - AZUCHO! Noisy environment, only in case of ST. Call into the unit from your cell phone and reduce sensitivity of mic by clogging up the hole of mic using your finger. Mind that you should not send DTMF tones from analogue phone which is switched to pulse dialing. 2N Lift products can receive tone dialing only! Programming is disabled by jumper, see (Pic. 2) Outgoing call does not work Try to connect analogue phone to verify that the analogue line works properly! Verify programmed phone number which is set under the parameter 011. In case of LN unit, check the status of the 3rd LED diode in order to check the behavior on the bus. If it is blinks green and orange it means disturbance on the bus which have to be avoided. Quality grounding to avoid disturbance on the analogue line. In case of LN unit you have to use grounded AC230V plug to power LN central unit. Inside of central unit there is ground connected between AC230V input and bus connector. In case of ST you should have Lift panel in car unit well grounded or you can use one of the screws.

Info This FAQ describes how to record and upload user message to 2N Lift1 communicator. There are two options how to do that. First option is via programming menu of the communicator directly from handset of the phone, from which you are calling to the communicator. Other option is via programming tool, where you can upload prerecorded messages. Both options are described below. Recording of message via programming menu Dial number of 2N Lift1 and once the communicator will pick up the call enter the programming menu by entering service password (default value is 12345): *service password* Enter the parameter for message recording: 972*service password* A continuous tone (up to 15 s) signals that the respective memory section is being deleted. Wait until the tone stops and you hear the confirmation tone . Now 2N Lift1 is recording the message of the maximum length of 30 s. Press any digit (DTMF) on your phone to stop recording if your message is shorter than 30 s. The recorded message is played back for check immediately. Useful informations: The maximum message length is 30 seconds, Therefore, we recommend you to prepare the text and test the message time in advance. Remember that the lift must be identified uniquely and that some messages are intended also for foreigners, in hotels, for example. Speak distinctly and loudly and watch the time while recording long messages. The message quality depends on the speaker (professional speakers are recommended for official announcements), phone (do not use HandsFree or obsolete carbon microphone telephone sets), ambient noise and connection quality (the best solution is to record a message via a PBX in advance). Message check: the message is played back for check immediately after recording. Change the setting of parameter 975 to play your message automatically when an outgoing call is made! Recording and uploading message via programming tool If you will choose this option, then you have to install 2N Lift1 Service Tool software on your PC, which is available for download on 2N website for free. Record message via programming tool is possible in three ways: For the first option press "New user message". This will add a new empty message to the list and you can then record your own one. For the second option press "Read from device". This will download a current message from connected 2N Lift1 communicator. For the third option press "Save to directory". This allows to pick a prerecorded message from hard drive of your PC and upload it to the device. For programming of 2N Lift1 via the programming tool is necessary to have 2N Lift1 Programming Tool (919680E). It is HW device (in picture below), which serves for connection of the communicator to PC by USB. Useful informations: Maximal length of recorded message is 30 s. Right format of uploaded message is .WAV. It is not possible to upload another files. Recording of a message is possible after you will pick source device in Recording settings. If volume of recorded messages is low, then output volume in application does not have effect on total volume of message uploaded to the communicator. In such case it is necessary to record the message once again. For message recording use only microphone of high quality. During recording be in noise isolated room with good acoustic characteristics. You will avoid poor-quality messages, noise and interference during recording.
