Integration with 2N products

  1. General Description

3CX is an open-platform, VoIP phone system that works with popular IP Phones and SIP trunks whether on-premise or in the cloud. Simple, affordable and flexible, 3CX eliminates the cost and management headaches of outdated, traditional phone systems or the limitations of shared cloud PBXs.

The 3CX Phone System integrates seamlessly with 2N IP intercoms through standard SIP, allowing 2N devices to register as SIP extensions within the 3CX phone system. Once registered, 2N intercoms can call any 3CX extension, ring groups, or mobile apps, and users can answer calls and view live video via 3CX softphones and supported clients. Video interoperability may vary depending on the client (e.g. limited or unsupported in some mobile or web applications). Users are also able to allow door access via phone calls, due to switch control via DTMF. 3CX also provides presence, call routing, and forwarding rules that can manage how incoming 2N intercom calls are handled across multiple devices or locations. This creates a highly flexible communication and access-control environment suitable for residential, commercial, and enterprise deployments.

Key features

  • Standard SIP integration – 2N intercoms register as extensions in 3CX
  • Audio & video calling – direct calls to phones, softphones, and ring groups
  • DTMF-based door control – unlock doors remotely during a call
  • Flexible call routing – leverage 3CX presence, groups, and forwarding rules
  • Multi-device access – answer calls from desktop phones, softphones, or mobile (subject to client capabilities)
  • Cost-effective deployment – software PBX with no dedicated hardware required
  • Note: Video support depends on the 3CX client used. In 3CX V20, video is supported through the web client interface, while the dedicated Windows desktop softphone application does not support video calls.
