How to add a 3rd party SIP device/Application

In order to make calls from 2N IP Intercoms to other devices such as 3rd party applications or devices, you need to add them to My2N first.

Requirements:

 

  • 2N IP device added in the My2N account

  • 3rd party device or application which supports:

    • SIP (Protocol for signaling)

    • Codec G.711a/G.711u (PCMA/PCMU) for audio

    • Codec H.264 for video

Step by step guide

  • In the My2N account go to Devices (1) and select ADD DEVICE (2)

  • A new window will appear, please select add 3rd Party device (3) by clicking on it

Adding a 3rd party device into My2N

  • In the next step, you need to name the device and assign it to a user. You can also select an apartment for a better management

  • Then click NEXT (4)

Naming the 3rd party device

  • The device's login credentials will be sent to the chosen user's email address

  • Confirm your choice by clicking on the NEXT button. You then have an opportunity to add the newly created device to an intercom’s button. When you are done click on the FINISHED (5) button

Finishing the registration of 3rd party device

  • Once you finish by clicking on the FINISHED button, an email will be sent to the user's email address and you will get a confirmation dialogue window

  • Now you have successfully added your 3rd party application or device to your My2N account, you can hit CLOSE (6)

  • Now you will have to register the 3rd party application to the My2N account using provided credentials (username, password, SIP proxy address)

  • The credentials for registration can be found in the device detail, click on the DEVICE (7)

3rd party device SIP Configuration

  •  Open the Mobile Video tab (8), make sure it is ACTIVATED

  • As you can see, the Status info (9) is currently "Needs configuration"

  • Observe the SIP Proxy details and copy them into the corresponding SIP registration account in your SIP device:

    • Device ID is the phone number/username for SIP Registration

    • SIP Proxy Address is both SIP Proxy address and SIP Registrar address

    • Secured Calls - Only UDP or TCP can be used

3rd party device SIP Details

  • If the registration is successful on both ends, the Device status/Status info will change to Registered (10)

  • Configuration of a 3rd party device is done
