The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. There are two modes of the SIP registration of the 2N Indoor Compact unit in this example, to the My2N portal: Local - allows you to use the 2N Indoor Compact in your local network. The reason why you can choose this mode is to make the configuration of the intercom easier so it is not necessary for you to disable the automatic configuration and you can just simply add the 2N Indoor Compact in your local mode and the intercom will be configured automatically. In this mode, the 2N Indoor Compact has to be placed in the same LAN as the intercom. Cloud - this mode allows you to make the calls from the 2N Indoor Compact to the 2N Mobile Video application and vice versa. You can use this mode in situations where the unit is placed in a different LAN than the intercom. 2N Indoor Compact My2N Registration: Security code Local mode Automatic configuration Call settings Unlock Settings Cloud mode DTMF Sending Receiving modes Unlocking Security code Security code is included in the package with the device on the card. Another way how you can obtain the security code is to go to the device setting section "System" (1) - "Auto Provisioning" (2) - "My2N Security Code" (3) You can quickly copy each credential by clicking on the copy buttons (4) on the right side Note that security code is shown in the firmware version 2.26 and higher In Old Web Interface: In New Web Interface: You will have to navigate through "Integration" (1) - "Auto Provisioning" (2) - "My2N" (3) - "General Information" (4) You can also generate a new security code (5) If you do so, remember to verify the device's security code again in My2N Local mode You can add the 2N Indoor Compact by clicking on the "Devices" (1) button and then the "ADD DEVICE" (2) button. Then choose "2N Device" (3) option: Fill out the "Device serial number" (4), then fill out the "Device Security code" (5) It is recommended to check the "Remember security code" (6) Optionally, you can also fill out a custom "Device Name" (7) and select or create new "Apartment" (8) if desired In the next step you will be asked for selecting the "Configuration mode" (9) and "Connection mode" (10) For Automatic mode select "Automatic", for Local mode select "Local": Click on "CLOSE" (11) to finish the configuration Cloud mode You have two options how to set up your 2N Indoor Compact: You can use automatic or manual configuration mode Mode selection is available while adding device (see above) or you can change the mode in device details You can open device details by clicking on the "Devices" (1) and three dots (2) as shown below: Automatic configuration First option is an Automatic Configuration mode (3): This mode is used for comfortable configuration of your answering unit via My2N service Call settings You are able to configure switch codes and dial button of the 2N Indoor Compact Select "Call Settings" (1), fill out the name under "Contact name" (2) The select the call destination (3), which will be assigned to calling button, from the list of the devices connected in your MY2N account Save the configuration (4) Even in Automatic Configuration Mode you can add manually an user from the device's Web Interface: You can specify the number to which the call should be established and SIP account which will be responsible for the forwarding of the call The number of the device (Device ID) is shown in My2N portal Settings section In this example the number is 4962898773 which is the ID of the registered Intercom in the site You can specify this number in the Directory menu section of the 2N Indoor Compact SIP account is defined by /2 parameter in the Phone number field It is necessary to use SIP account number 2 for the proper function In Old Web Interface: In New Web Interface: Unlock Settings You can also change the unlock code sequence under "Unlock settings" (1) The code can be changed under "Default unlock code" (2), by default the code is 00* Save the configuration (3) Answering modes Last step is to check the answering mode Go under "Calling", "General Settings", "Incoming Calls" Check if the "Call Answering Mode (SIP2)" or Local Answering Mode has been set to "Manual Pickup", accordingly with the choice you have made for calling Make sure to save the configuration Old Web Interface: In New Interface: DTMF Sending Receiving modes If you wish to activate switches over the call, make sure the DTMF modes are set up correctly: Go under the "Calling" (1) Select the SIP account 2, or the Local Calls, accordingly with you initial choice, in this example "SIP 2" (2) Then click on the "Audio" (3) tab Locate the DTMF Section, check if the "DTMF Sending/Receiving" (4) is set up correctly (in Old and then in New Web Interface) Unlocking You can also configure the "Default Unlock Code", which is by default configured in the Hardware - Switches section of the Intercom Click on "Services" (1) Select "Unlocking" (2) Enter the default code under "Default Unlock Code" (3), for example "00"

The motherboard relay is used for switching lights or other peripherals that do not have to be secured. It is always recommended that the 2N Security Relay (Part No. 9159010) is used for increased security. Configuration of 2N Indoor Talk Go to 2N Indoor Talk´s web management - section Directory - Devices click on Search registered devices and choose the device you want to add. After you have added the device the Device Name and Phone Number are automatically filled. You can call up to 2 devices from 2N Indoor Talk. Start call with a short/long press: Choose whether you want to call this user by a short or a long press of a call button on the 2N Indoor Talk Code after short press: Defines a DTMF code sent to the intercom during or outside the call Code after long press: Defines a DTMF code sent to the intercom only during the call by long pressing the unlock button If no Button 1,2,3 Code is defined than Default Unlock Code will be used for unlocking. This code is also used to unlock the device outside the call.

Factory reset - How to do factory reset on 2N Clip

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. You have two options how you can make a factory reset for 2N Clip. Software reset: Press the Reset Configuration button and confirm the process in the web configuration´s section System-Maintenance. Reset configuration – reset default values for all of the device parameters except for the network settings (can be chosen during process confirmation). Caution The default state reset deletes the licence key if any. Hence, we recommend you to copy it to another storage for later use. HW reset: PLEASE, KEEP IN MIND THAT ON FIRMWARE VERSION 2.47 AND HIGHER, HARDWARE FACTORY RESET WILL ALSO GENERATE A NEW MY2N SECURITY CODE! Press the RESET button. Wait until the red and green LEDs on the device come on simultaneously (approx. 20 s). Wait until the red LED goes off. Wait until the green LED goes off and the red LED comes on again. Firmware upgrade - How to do firmware upgrade on device 2N Clip

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. In the web configuration interface select in the Menu System-Maintenance "Upgrade Device Firmware". Upgrade firmware – upgrade your 2N Clip firmware. Press the button to display a dialogue window for you to select and upload the firmware file to the device. The device will automatically get restarted and new FW will then be available. The whole upgrading process takes less than one minute. Refer to www.2n.com. for the latest FW version for your device. FW upgrade does not affect configuration as the device checks the FW file to prevent upload of a wrong or corrupted file. Upgrade Now – check online whether a new firmware version is available. If so, download the new FW version and an automatic device upgrade will follow.

How to provide all information to effectively resolve a technical issue with 2N OS device

In case you have found some issue with 2N OS device, please report it to Technical Support. If you do not have access information, contact your account manager.Or you can report your issue by creating a ticket - here. The reported issue should contain the following information: Describe us the issue in a close detail, so that we will be able to replicate the behavior at 2N Tech Support. Send us the description of the LAN topology, NATs, IP addresses, etc. If your issue can be clearly visible or heard e.g. LED blinking or bad sound quality, please take a picture or record a video (e.g. on a phone) and send us this behavior. You can attach it to the e-mail or upload it to e.g. WeTransfer, Dropbox, Google Drive and send us the download link. Know the Device Information The serial number and the current FW version of your 2N OS device.It is highly recommended to use always the newest FW version available on 2N web page - here Backup the Configuration Send us the current configuration of the device - in the pictures below there is shown how to do that. Capture the Wireshark trace Catch the Wireshark trace on 2N OS device. Here first of all activate the capturing by "Start" button, make a call and deactivate the capturing by "Stop" button. Then download hiptrace.pcap file and send it to the support. Because the buffer for trace is limited, it is really necessary to start the trace right before you will make a test call. Capture an internal Syslog on 2N OS device. If 2N Tech support asks you for a Syslog they usually want the setting that is shown in the picture below. Unlike in Wireshark trace the buffer is not limited by size but time. Please set the Required Saving Time + Severity level according to 2N Tech support needs. After setting press the "Start" button and the Syslog will automatically stop after the time you defined in Required Saving Time, then save the syslog.txt file and send it to us. 6. Capture an external Syslog on 2N OS device. The external syslog is often use to capture syslog messages immediately after rebooting the device which often can't be done by internal Syslog. Setting up calls from and to 2N IP intercom

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface. The 2N Indoor View unit is designed for audio and video communication with 2N IP intercoms. You can see all intercoms connected to the LAN, you are able to accept incoming calls, make outgoing calls to 2N IP intercoms and also control locks connected to the intercoms. Recommendation - use the latest firmware We recommend to use the latest firmware in 2N Indoor View and also 2N IP intercoms to ensure that all functions are available. How to configure a 2N IP intercom? As a very first step go to the section Directory – Users, create a new user and set the Phone Number to be dialed once you press the appropriate button on the intercom. If you want to call the 2N Indoor View unit, the number has to be filled in the following format: "device:devicename". In our example the device name “IndoorView” is being used as in the picture below. In the next step you can set the intercom to automatically pick up incoming calls in order to reach it easily at any time. Go to the section Calling – Gerenal Settings and enable Automatic Pickup for Local Calls, see the picture below. As a next step go to the section Calling – SIP 1 and fill in the Domain field. For direct calls it is recommended to fill in the IP address of your intercom as shown in the picture below (IP address of the intercom in this example is 192.168.50.10). A list of available 2N indoor units and their device names can be easily displayed in the 2N IP intercom in the menu Calling – Local Calls. The list can be viewed by clicking "Show" next to the "Show LAN Device list". See the example below. Last step is to assign the contact to a quick dial button in the Calling - Dialing section of the configuration. How to configure 2N Indoor View? Once the 2N Indoor View is connected to the local network, go to its web interface, section Calling – Local Calls. To be able to receive calls from 2N IP intercoms you need to set the Device ID there. The Device ID is used by the intercom for call routing instead of its IP address. To be able to call from 2N Indoor View to a 2N IP intercom go to 2N Indoor View web interface, section Directory – Devices and add the 2N IP intercom to the device list. Device list is available via 2N Indoor View's onscreen menu. To be able to activate a 2N IP intercom's switch during a call, open the intercom's tab in Devices, and fill in a valid unlocking DTMF code.

Prerequisites:- 2N Indoor View- 2N Indoor Compact- 2N Indoor Talk- 2N Clip Explanation of IP Telephony Terms SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) – is a phone call signalling transmission protocol used in IP telephony. It is primarily used for setting up, terminating and forwarding calls between two SIP devices (the intercom and another IP phone in this case). SIP devices can establish connections directly with each other (Direct SIP Call) or, typically, via one or more servers: SIP Proxy and SIP Registrar. SIP Proxy – is an IP network server responsible for call routing (call transfer to another entity closer to the destination). There can be one or more SIP Proxy units between the users. SIP Registrar – is an IP network server responsible for user registration in a certain network section. As a rule, SIP device registration is necessary for a user to be accessible to the others on a certain phone number. SIP Registrar and SIP Proxy are often installed on one and the same server. RTP (Real-Time Transport Protocol) – is a protocol defining the standard packet format for audio and video transmission in IP networks. 2N Indoor Compact uses the RTP for audio and video stream transmission during a call. The stream parameters (port numbers, protocols and codecs) are defined and negotiated via the SDP (Session Description Protocol). The example below: the 2N Indoor Compact is registered to the SIP Proxy (2N Netstar SW) 192.168.50.252, The phone number ID is 200, SIP Proxy and SIP proxy registrar Server is also 192.168.50.252 and there is used a default port 5060. The Authentication ID and password is in case also required from the Pbx. It is possible to check the current registration status in the Section State-Services - Registration state-REGISTERED.
