2N Analog Intercom / Busy tone - Parameters setting

The call termination on 2N Analog Intercoms devices can be done as described below: The busy or continuous tone *) after the call end. The ringing tone *) after a predefined count of rings. The subscriber 'at the other end' pressed . The preset maximum call duration has elapsed. 30 seconds after the switch use has elapsed. A 2N Analog Intercom button was pressed during the call. The keypad button was pressed during the call (can be disabled). *) The communicator is able to detect a permanent tone, busy tone and ringing tone even if the tone has two frequency components as in the UK, the U.S.A. (the so-called BTT tone) and in Canada. This new function does not require setting of any parameter. One of the tone components must be of 440 Hz. In case that the device would not detect the Busy tone (or continuous tone) correctly you have to verify the setting of parameters described bellow 941 Minimum continuous tone time, if the tone is longer, the intercom hangs up. (default value 20=2s, range 10-99) 942 Minimum busy tone or pause duration, this parameter control the busy tone detection. They are used for call termination. (default value 8=0,08s, range 0-255) 943 Maximum busy tone or pause duration, this parameter control the busy tone detection. They are used for call termination. (default value 8=0,08s, range 0-255) 944 Maximum tone-pause difference, this parameter control the busy tone detection. They are used for call termination. (default value 8=0,08s, range 0-255) Explanation of Parameters 942, 943, 944 Busy tone pic. 1 The parameter 942 has to set regarding to the shorter part of the busy tone. In case that the period of tone time is longer than pause time we must set the parameter for pause. Example The busy tone in the pic. 1 in the figure above is considerably longer than the pause time. Therefore, set parameter 942 according to the pause, to 200 ms, e.g., and parameter 943 according to the tone, to 600 ms, for example. In this case, however, the default values can be maintained for both the parameters. Since the tone – pause difference is 500 − 250 = 250 ms, set parameter 944 to 300 ms, for example. In some cases can also help to increase parameter 944 also when 2N Analog Intercom is placed in a hall or corridor with a large decay time.

2N Analog Intercom does not work after installation

Check with the help of the Manual, if the cables are connected correctly 2N Analog Intercom should play the „booting sound" when you connect the analogue telephone line.If not, contact your local 2N distributor

2N Analog Intercom hangs up - does not hang up automatically

Make sure that the busy tone from the PBX is the standard PSTN busy tone Check the settings of the 2N Analog Intercom (parameter 945, see the manual, chapter 9) Record the busy tone (wav, mp3, aiff, wmv, arm) and contact your local 2N distributor

Check if the CLIP function is OFF for telephone line, to which is 2N Analog Intercom connected Check if 2N Analog Intercom is connected on telephone line in single way (no parallel interconnection) Check the telephone line voltage (minimum must be 20V) contact your local 2N distributor

Busy tone - When the button is pressed, 2N Analog Intercom gives the busy tone

Factory reset - How to make a factory reset on 2N Analog Intercom

All the intercom parameters, including the keypad ones, are set remotely using any tone-dialling telephone set (or a mobile phone). First call the intercom and enter the programming mode. The access to this mode is service password protected. A voice menu is available in the programming mode and so you need not use this manual to program standard parameters. The menu is stored in the intercom memory in the default language. Having entered the full parameter or memory number, you can hear how the parameter has been programmed, thus checking the programmed numbers for correctness. All parameters are stored safely in the non-volatile EEPROM memory. The following three functions facilitate your programming by clearing all previous settings: 997 – deletes the entire password list for switch including password 00. 998 – deletes memories of all buttons (01 - 02) plus Arrival/Departure and Day/Night passwords. 999 – clears the whole memory and resets the default values (see the chart).

One-button call setup of 2N Analogue Vario

RMA - What to check before the RMA process for 2N analog Intercoms

Please, follow the steps below what to check before you send the 2N analog Intercoms device for repair: Possible issues: a) device does not boot up after plug in (FXS) b) device is not possible to program over DTMF c) device is not working correctly, audio issues with microphone and/or speaker add a) Check wires and try another port (in case of PBX). Check connection on PSTN. If doesn't work, contact support.2n.cz for further steps. add b) If the mobile phone is used for programming, mute your microphone and put the service password slowly. If you are not able to enter to the programming menu, contact support.2n.cz for password reset. In case you can enter to the programming menu, but new values are not stored, than be sure that the same value is not stored in another parameter. Try to proceed factory reset before RMA request. add c) Check if you have grounded analogue intercom properly. In case of Force/Safety is obligatory to have it grounded for correct function of the handsfree. In case of different issue, contact support.2n.cz before RMA, If you ask for RMA, where is obvious hardware damage, attach photos from the installation side, from the damaged part and another photo which could be important for RMA process.

Unsatisfied Audio quality in 2N Analogue Intercoms

2N Analog Intercom door communicator has implemented a Half duplex hands free algorithm which is tuned for the most common installations. If you have a specific installation (noisy background, etc ... ), please try following: See audio parameters from 931 to 938 and try to set different values with your best meaning (see manual page 34) Ground the unit. In case of Force and Safety is mandatory to have it grounded for correct handsfree function. In case it does not help, send the record of the communication on analog line to technical support (could be possible with help of recording device order no. 18025801). In case of noisy background, please set PIN for microphone sensibility, which is placed: a) Vario PIN: number 8, connect last position to enable mic sensitivity: b) analog Force and Safety connector X4 switch the attenuator position. c) analog UNI intercom: connector switch marked the attenuator position.

Vivotek video server - How to connect with 2N Analog Intercom

As a very first step you have to make analogue camera work in the 2N Analog Intercom unit. All steps which have to be followed are described in the installation manual for camera 9135200E in our 2N web page http://www.2n.cz/en/products/intercom-systems/analog-intercoms/helios/downloads/Necessary steps in order to make camera work are: Select the camera mode and video cable type via jumpers (connector 17 - marked orange) . In the "Video on during call“ mode, the output is active when a call is being made to/from 2N Analog Intercom. When the call is terminated, the video remains active for about 7 seconds and then switches off. Select the "Permanently on" mode for outdoor installations in order to avoid camera damage by air humidity. It is because the camera is heated during the operation and thus no moisture condensation can occur.To terminal block 4,5 (connector 1 - marked red) has to be connected the DC12V power supply with arbitrary polarity. The power supply can feed the electric lock too.On the terminal block 8,9 (connector 1 - marked green) is output for video signal which you need to bring to the input of Vivotek video server. The coaxial cable is connected with an internal conductor to +, with shielding to -. Thanks to video records anybody is able to observe PC via the LAN, no SW installation is needed. VoIP ATA converter - How to connect 2N Analog Intercom via Well ATA-171P converter to VoIP server

2N Analog Intercom can be connected to VoIP server thanks to Well ATA-171P converter which fully supports SIP signalization protocol. So there is a possibility to register Well ATA 171-P converter to VoIP server which is SIP based protocol server. Among 2N Analog Intercom and Well ATA converter is possible to integrate 2N SmartGate analogue/GSM gateway in "dial thru" mode, then you will obtain possibility to route the call from analogue interface to VoIP/PSTN/GSM či UMTS network. Tested versions: 2N Analog Intercomversion 12-02-02 2N SmartGate version 3.20Y Well ATA-171P converter version p-107b Compatibility test: Audio call Connect ATA converter to the LAN network and open web browser. Well ATA-171P has got default IP address 192.168.123.1:9999. Access details are Username: root Password: test Firstly change in the configuration is that you need to set tones for analogue units Others ->Tone (freq. 425 Hz, times are 1 = 10 ms,33 = 330 ms). In the picture below see correct values. After filling in those values confirm it by “Submit”. As next save values to the unit by "Save Change". In the last step fill in access details for registration unit to the VoIP server. Go to the section SIP settings -> Service Domain. Fill "User Name", "Register Password" and "Proxy Server", those details have to match with the previous ones that you have created in your VoIP server. Confirm by “Submit”.
