Virtual Numbers and Telephone Mode

The steps in this article require using the web interface of a 2N device. Please follow this manual in case this is your first time using the web interface.

 

On 2N IP Intercoms, you can start the call also by the keypad or touch display.
We will show you how to setup and use it in two different scenarios.

 

Prerequisites

  • 2N IP Intercom with keypad or touch display and the latest firmware;
    no additional license is required.

 

Scenarios

  • Virtual Numbers

    Call the user by dialling e.g. an apartment number on the keypad, instead of selecting the user from the directory or using the Quick Dial Button.


    • In 2N IP Intercom web interface, go to section Calling - General Settings - Outgoing Calls
      and enable Calling Virtual Numbers.

    • Go to section Directory and assign a virtual number to a user.

    • Use the virtual number on the keypad and start the call to the user by pressing 📞 symbol.

 

 

  • Telephone mode

    Dial SIP Proxy extensions directly,
    not available for 2N IP Style and 2N LTE Verso.

    • In 2N IP Intercom web interface, go to section Calling - General Settings - Outgoing Calls
      and enable Telephone Mode.

  • Use the keypad to call the SIP Proxy extension by pressing 📞 symbol,
    then dial the extension number and confirm again by 📞 symbol.
